Car was purchased when I was married, now I'm divorced. This loan takes up half of my income after taxes and insurance is taken out.

I've gotta get rid of this car! Here are the details…

Purchased new 2013 Honda Accord in August 2013
The interest rate is 10.4 percent
The term is 74 months
The payoff is 27,500
The cars value is 18,500

I need a significantly lower note or just need to get out of it period.

Can I trade and buy another car and end up with a cheaper note or can I sale it?

If so, will the finance company release title and make me responsible for remaining balance? Please Help!

My Air Conditioning doesn't work, but it makes a loud hissing sound?

First off, this is an air conditioning problem with my Honda Accord 2001 EX, 4 cylinder 2.3 liters.

Okay, here's the problem. Since last summer, i've had to put freon in my car, so i get AC pro, connect it and put freon, then everything is fine. This summer, i did the same thing, the air worked for a bit, so i turned it off. I later used it that day again, turned the car off without turning off the air. The next day, i mistakenly left the AC and the heat on at the same time, because it was cold. Now It doesn't even blow cool air anymore. I tried everything. I even tried putting more freon, but the needle on the AC Pro is now in the "red" zone, which means not to put anymore. Trying to fix the problem, i went on the highway with the AC switch on and kept driving. It sounds like the compressor comes on, then goes back off by itself, it comes on again and goes back off by itself. Later while i was still driving, i started hearing a loud hissing sound which turns back off when i turn off the AC. Any help?

What kind of car should I get?

Im looking at afew cars that i would like to have when i finish high school im a freshman. I had the idea of saving up some money so when im a softmore or something I can ditch my moms car and buy my own car. Car shut off while driving?

I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX. I was driving home from work and noticed he started jolting, as i stepped on the accelerator. Then it started and dying on me and shut off in the middle of the road. Then it would not start again. Finally after a few tries i was able to start him and move it to a more safer spot on the side of the road and it shut off again. My wife came and i was able to get it started again to at least get it home which was just a few blocks away. We got home tried starting it again and nothing. Left it alone for about 45 min then came back to try again and it started, struggled a little bit. Ive never had this happen, what should i be checking for? FYI i replaced the battery a couple months ago and i made sure terminals are tight and clean.

Nissan Maxima or Honda Accord?

It's about time for me to buy my first car! I plan for this to be temporary while I save up for a $5000 car to last me until I'm out of college. After that, I will finance.

So both are private sales. One is a Honda Accord and the other, a Nissan Maxima. BOTH are 1998! As for millage, the Accord has 175,000 and the Nissan has 200,000. I know there are probably better deals. But please just tell me from your experiences which you would choose and/or which one I should get.

I've done some research and people seem to like the Maxima better than the Accord. My parents, however, strongly disagree and feel that Honda is the way to go. Please Help. I NEED an answer so expect 10 points for the best!

Woman sneaking glances at me? - 2

Im your typically 20 yr old working at this store & whenever I see this woman shes always doing quick glances like looking around. Shes tall like me, mascara, long brunette. She seems "fancy", she even drove in a new Honda Sonata Hybrid, soon as she pulled up I could've swore she did a quick glance at me. Maybe I'm imagining things. But whenever she walks in the grocery store it seems like she does quick glances to everyone else also. Also one time she was walking I looked at her & she did a quick smile. A few wks later she came in with some sunglasses, once again being "fancy" I quickly decided to mess with her. I said "you cant wear those" with a smile. She walked a little and smiled at me like "what? Well im gonna wear them anyway!" smiling. Some time passed by, I turned around messing with my co worker then she walks pass me looking at me saying "im still wearing themm". I look at her trying to think what to say. She starts to walk toward me "why? Why cant I wear them?" tilting her sunglasses down. Then I say "im just joking with youu" smiling waving my hand, she laughs at the same time with me. Turns around & says "cyaa"

Car overheating randomly even after thermostat was replaced?

I have a 2005 Honda Civic lx. It was overheating and brought it to my mechanic. He said the thermostat was sticking and replaced it. He also checked the head gasket and fluid and both were good. After about 4 days, my cars temp garage climbed all the way to the top. I turned the heat on to lower the temp and it blew only freezing cold air. It finally started to blow hot air 10 minutes after I had it on and the temperature gauge fell back to normal. My mechanic ran tests to see if I had a leek but didn't find anything. They had it for 2 weeks and couldn't get it to overheat no matter what they tried. Now here we are a week and a half later and it did it again. I was driving home on the highway and the temp climbed all the way up and had to pull over. Shut my car off and restarted it after a few and blasted the AC. The temp fell back to normal for about 30 min. In the last 10 min stretch it began to heat up again. I pulled over, waited for a bit and it came back down. It stayed down until I pulled into my house. I took it out for a short 2 mile drive and it stayed normal. When I got home and parked and tried the heat, it was freezing air. Not sure what to do since this keeps happening and is not consistent. Any suggestions? (Keeping in mind I have like zero car mechanic experience/knowledge)

99 Honda accord v6 starts and shuts off?

Good evening, everyone so quick question, I've had my car for about a year IT'S BEEN PRETTY GOOD TO ME NO PROBLEMS, and just last week, after getting out of class I started my car and it was like sputtering then it shut OFF, I started it again and then it was fine, it did that too me again today, anyone know what that could be? 2001 Honda Accord LX 3.0L V6 problem?

My maintenance required light came on for exactly 10 seconds when I started the car in the morning then went away for a few days. Then last night, it came back on but only when I first start the engine and it flashes 10 times then go's away until the next time I start the car. It never did this until a few days ago.

I bought the car June 21st. I had a Mechanic (sears) go through everything and do a compression test on the pistons before I bought it for $2588 with 197440 miles on it. They said everything was good and the compression was a minimum of 135 psi. I'm guessing they checked all 6 pistons.

I looked at the oil dip stick and there is no fill line, but on 1 side it was up to the second hole and on the other it was a little higher. I just parked the car and turned the engine off right before pulling it out wiping it off then checking it again.

Anyone have any idea what the problem is.

Down Shifting Motorcycle?

Hello! I'm new to riding bikes, been riding about a month now! My question is about downshifting. In my car, i rev-match downshift, because i feel like it puts less wear on the transmission. I tried it a few times with my bike, and it works great. However i don't know if it may be hurting my transmission. Can rev match downshifting be better or worse for bikes transmissions? Also side question… What rpm do you guys cruise at? I was told cruise right were the bike feels to have power. I usually keep it about 3500-4000 rpm. Its a honda 4 cyl btw… Thank

How to get rid of cigarette smell in car?

I just bought a used car. Its a '12 Honda Civic and call me basic but I absolutely love it! Any way I think the previous owner smoked in it and it kinda has that smoky thrift store smell in it. It kinda makes me sick. I used some febreeze and some black ice car trees but it still smells. The car in any other way is perfect so I expect to keep it for a long time. Over time will the smell go away as I don't smoke? And anything else I could try?

My 1983 Honda nighthawk 650 won t start with the electric start?

I recently replaced the ignition coils because the old ones were getting heat soaked and the bike would die, however now the bike won t start with the electric start it turns over fin and the starter sounds fine but it won t start occasionally it ll start when it s cold or try to but I ve been having to bump start it in order to ride it. So what s making it do this? Could it be the kill switch? Or something else?

hello my name is Kevin and I'm interested in getting a new motorcycle. I'm a beginner in motorcycles I've never owned one or riden one. I would love to get a Cbr 600 but I feel that's too much and my buddy agrees it's too much. I am considering a 250 but I feel that's not enough thrill. I'm leaning towards a ninja 300, any advice for a beginner? My style is a street or sport bike I'm not too much into the Harley types, I'm a teenager lol. Also the Honda Cbf 500 catches my eye if that's a good starter. Any help or tips even would be greatly appreciated!

Is it worth buying this car for $700?

I found a car on Craigslist selling for $900. I was interested in it a lot. It was a 1998 Honda Civic DX Sedan and has 110,000 miles on it. I texted the person who was selling it and they told me the car is in good shape but the only thing it needs is to be repainted on the hood because of sun damage, catalytic converter and needs new tires soon. So what do you guys think, is it a good deal? I was planning on checking it out but I don t know much about cars so I don t want to waste my time. By the way he told me the lowest he will go is $700.

My vehicle came out of the shop with a new issue after replacing the head gasket?

My 2000 Honda Accord LX was originally overheating so I figured the thermostat was bad. I planned on replacing it soon, however I wanted to replace the spark plugs before I did that. The vehicle had obviously overheated a lot before I bought it because the spark plug wires were melted to the engine. By the time I got all the spark plugs out one spark plugs threads ripped out of the engine. I brought it to the mechanic to fix it, and they found a lot of radiator fluid in the cyclinder. So they had to replace the head gasket and replaced the thermostat as well. However when I picked the vehicle up the vehicle was limiting at 3000RPM it was in limp mode. I brought it back and they ran a test and said the code called for a replacement of the alternator I opted to replace it myself but it still didn't fix it I brought back and they said I'd have to replace the ECU I didn't wanna spend 300 dollars on something that might not fix it. The current code I'm getting is for the Cylinder Position sensor (not a crankshaft position sensor) which is in the distributor housing so I replaced that and still didn't fix it it's been almost a year since I brought it to the mech idk if I can threaten a lawsuit to have them fix it since that problem wasn't there when I gave it to them or if anyone knows how to fix it also they said that my knock sensor was out so they put it back in idk if that is the cause or what

I have a question. Well, I drive my dad's red 1997 mercury villager minivan… (used to). Yesterday, it decided to call it quits on us. My dad is looking to lease a car from our local Honda dealership and my question is, what credit score is good to lease a car? Would they use his FICO credit score, his auto enhanced FICO score or both? My dad has a credit score of 713 as we seen on credit sesame, similar to credit karma. Sold my 1997 Honda to a man today for $$$. Problem is I just read on Virginias dmv site that I have to do a title transfer? Not sure if this is necessary or not. Honda d17 swap compatibility?

I have a 2004 civic lx sedan with a d17A1 non vtec in it that's completely blown and I need to know what motors are compatible to put in it. Right now I can get an accord with a k23 vtec for 200 or a civic with a d18 vtec for 400 and I want to know how difficult it would be to swap to those motors if I have the entire car that the motor came out of. If all else fails I can get a stock replacement for 600 but since the d17 is nutless and I've blown 2 of them now I want to try to put in a motor that's at least somewhat fast. Also what other motors would be easy and cheap to install if I can find them. I've heard motor mount position will be my biggest problem

Should I repair my car or buy a new one?

I have a Honda Accord. It was given to me by a family member. I m the third owner. Also, it s been stolen and messed up pretty bad once before. A few months ago I took my car to Good Year and they said there were many parts in need of repair. The total cost would have been about $4,000. I didn t have all the money at the time and just paid $1,600 for the most important things like the breaks. Then later on my battery stopped working and I had to purchase a new one. Recently my car stopped on the freeway. The engine was messed up and got overheated. They told me it would cost $8,000 to repair it. I m wondering if it s worth it to pay the more than $10,000 needed in repair or if I should just buy a new car.

Reliable commuter car, on the cheap for college student?

Hey guys, any reliable cars you recommend on the cheap?
I was leaning towards a civic si, accord or WRX but my commute to school is about 45 miles both ways, with work being 30 miles away and I don't want to put all the miles on a nice car.

I'd love to get an old civic and turbo it lol, or a mustang gt for cheap but question reliability.

I live in Ohio, so snow is a factor. I was thinking along the lines of something Toyota/Honda/Subaru/Nissan possibly hatchback, sporty or capable of responding well to mods, good gas mileage, but number one is reliable!

I'd like to spend no more than 5000 but would prefer to spend around $2-3k.

Any suggestions?

Best motorcycle to learn mechanics and riding on?

I want to learn motorcycle mechanics by buying an old body and just going through all the parts and replacing them and seeing how they work. I essentially want to rebuild the whole bike. I like the vintage models of yamaha and Honda bikes but I don't want to buy a bike that's going to be difficult to find parts for or work on for my first project. What are some bike bodies that would be easy to learn on, easy to find parts for, and easy to learn riding on? I realize it's not all going to be easy-I just figured getting some input might save me a few tears in the future.

Hello, im 17 with one year no motorbike claims bonus in the UK?

When i was 16 i insured a moped and rode that for a year without claiming on my insurance which was £300. NOW when ive turned 17 i am hoping to ge a nice honda bike which i went through a quote saying it was £900 (which it is) and then the insurance came back with a £662third party fire and theft. Which i knew was expected as i have to park my bike infront of my house. BUT then in the small print all of the insurers say that i would have to pay a compulsary £800 if i made a claim!wtf right. Also add the £662 onto that, i could almost buy another bike with that amount of money which would mean making a claim is just pointless. SOMEONE Please Help ON WHAT I SHOULD DO

Need mechanics help radiator fan?

I have a 1992 Honda accord and recently the weather has changed and it gets very hot outside and i noticed my radiator fan doesn't turn on when it should. I replaced the fan switch on the front of the engine block on top of the upper radiator hose connector and found a short on the wiring harness. I fixed the short in the harness by removing the terminals and linking them directly to the sensor but my fan still doesnt turn on. I have the manual and it says there could be many other reason the fan doesnt turn on but it doesnt exactly tell me what they are. Relay works the fan works but it doesn't turn on when it should ex when in park i rev up to 4000 rpms after car has been idling with normal tempartures the fan turned on, i did this a second time fan did not turn on and the car began to overheat any advice where are the other fan switches i can't seem to find them using the book because it is unclear thanks

What were they thinking when they redesigned the Accord for 2006?

I liked the looks of the tail lights on the 2003-2005 model, but for the 2006 (the 30th anniversary for the Accord) they made it look like an old Crown Vic in the back with the triangular tail lights. Doesn't make sense to me why they just randomly decided to give the Accord a Crown Vic/Chevy Impala look, especially for the 30th anniversary edition. The design doesn't work for the car at all.it went from being a somewhat stylish midsize Japanese car to some big old American car (in the rear). Very un-Honda of them. What were they thinking?

Ex husband not agreeing with me about 16 y/o daughter?

My ex husband and I have been arguing for a couple weeks over what kind of car to get my daughter for her birthday on July 11. My daughter has expressed multiple times to me she would like to have a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for her birthday. She has even offered to get a job to pay for her car insurance or note if I get her this jeep. My ex husband disagrees and says she does not need the Jeep and refuses to help pay for the jeep. My ex husband does not even want to get our daughter a car because his girlfriends children are a year older than ours and do not have cars yet and my ex husband said it would not be fair to them if she got one, which I believe is bullshit. She is ours not his girlfriends. Anyways, my daughter has also said she would like a Nissan Altima and or Honda Accord or Civic, which I am totally fine with buying also. My ex husband disagrees and wants to get her a 2003/2004 model of a car. I told him no that she will have something more modern than that but he disagrees and says she doesn't need something modern. I want to give my daughter the best I can afford because she does everything for me and she makes excellent grades but without my husbands help I can't afford anything. Can you put harley wide glide forks on a honda shadow ace 1100?

Both forks are 41mm. I'm trying to put a 21" front tire on the bike and I'm weighing my options on what I should do. If the forks can set into the triple tree with not much problem Luke only having to make shims then that's the way to go.

My breaks pedal goes all the way down?

Hi I just changed the master cylinder and break booster on my 1997 Honda Del sol. The breaks still sink all the way down. I still have yet to bleed them. But how big of a difference will bleeding the air out of the system do the my sinking break pedal. Or is there another reason my break pedal would be doing this? Keep in mind I haven't bleed them yet. Any help would greatly be appricated.

2016 Honda Pilot or Odyssey for family?

My parents are looking for a new car to replace their 2003 Honda Odyssey, which they bought new. We are a family of five but rarely have all five of us in the van at one time, as we all have our own separate living situations. I guess you could say they are sort of empty nesters, so they don't necessarily need to have a big 8 passenger minivan anymore. They are stuck between the new Pilot or the new Odyssey.

The good thing about the Pilot is that it is smaller and easier to drive than a minivan while still holding good cargo capacity, however there are indeed a few occasions out of the year where they need to cram 5+ people into the minivan. The van has proven to be very useful those few times when they truly need the space. Seems like SUV third rows are very uncomfortable and practically useless whereas minivan third rows are as comfortable as any other seat in the car. Pilot is just an easier car to live with, Odyssey is more versatile. What do you suggest?

My brakes stopped working and now they're fine…What could be wrong?

So I recently purchased a used car (2004 Honda Civic EX) and it test drove fine. The dealership kept it for a few days to clean it out and detail it. When I picked it up it drove fine and the brakes were working. Then about twenty minutes I was on the highway in bumper to bumper traffic and noticed my car wasn't slowing down when I was trying to brake. I was pressing on it about half way but since it wasn't slowing down I pushed it all the way back and nothing. I ended up rear ending another vehicle. After we exchanged information I drove back to the dealership (on the streets because I was too scared to get back on the highway). The brakes worked fine on the way back and the dealer even tried them himself and they worked fine. They kept the car and said they'd have a specialist come look at it and when I called today he even said they put one hundred miles and the brakes weren't giving them any problem. He probably thinks I'm lying and just wasn't paying attention but I wouldn't be going through all this trouble and going without a car if it wasn't true. What could have caused my brakes to suddenly fail then work fine again?

Motorcycle tries to start then clicks?

Okay, I have a 2006 Honda Shadow Aero with right around 4000 miles. I got it out this year and the battery was dead so I gave it a jump. It ran fine, but the battery wouldn t hold a charge. I got a new battery and it seemed fine for a couple days… Started up no problems, but now I m back to it not starting. It will try for a couple cranks (2-3) then clicking. I can jump it and ride… And even turn it off then start it right back up, but as soon as it sits for a bit it won t start. Somewhere I read that a quick check for charging is to slowly rev it and the headlight will brighten (which mine does), but that s about my knowledge… Any ideas?

Hit a parked car without knowing it and now I'm in trouble, what's going to happen?

The insurance agency called me saying that I have to take my car in to get it inspected. The accident happened April 9th and a cop called me a week after.
Here is what happened: I was going to the gym and when I parked my car, I noticed some scratches on my car. I thought it happened at school and someone ELSE did it not me, so I went home freaked out. APPERENTLY I had hit the girl beside me. I had NO IDEA. I got a call from the cops saying they wanna charge me with a hit and run. However, I explained that I didn't know I did anything because I had no clue, and she said okay and told me to explain my story. I did and she never called back. I hadn't heard anything until now, and it was a liability call from the insurance company saying I have to get my car inspected. It was a message on the answering machine and I'm waiting for my dad to get home (I'm 20 and I'm on his insurance). What's going to happen?
Added (1). Oh, and the scratches on my car were just that. Scratches. I had little paint scratches, while the other girl was a really nice new infiniti that apperently got dented. How my tiny honda didn't get dented and hers did, I have no clue.

1982 Honda Nighthawk 650 carb problems?

I bought a bike the other day. And what a hassle. It was running when I purchased it but as so nas it would get up to 50 mph it would bog and die. Got it home and a buddy and i took the carbs out and opened them up to inspect for dirt etc. Clean as a whistle. But, now we have two issues. Either too much fuel and its leaking out, or not enough fuel and not starting at all. We have set the pilot screws to what the manual said 2 5/8 turn. And that didnt fix any issues. So since then we have messed around with them trying to tune it anyway. No luck. The floats seem to be in perfect condition and the pins as well. Any ideas?

I rode a Honda Rebel 250 for a year and a half, it was my starter bike. Grew out of it and sold it to afford a bigger bike. Rode my moms sportster 1200. I personally want a sport bike, but my mom feels like they are to fast (but she would let me have a sportster 1200.) So my question is what sport bikes out there are similar in speed to a sportster 1200 so she would allow it?

Ps: Been looking at the Kawasaki Ninja 650R she approves of it. How does it compare to a sportster 1200 speed wise?

How to stop these aggressive people from strong eyeing us?

So there's this place hat sells really good shakes but it's in the middle of a lateeno neighborhood. I take my girlfriend all the time there because she loves it but every time we go the customers in the shop act like they've never seen a well dressed couple in their life. The types here are your average Mexican wannabe cool kids and "gangsters" and "baby momma" heespanas, they won't take their eyes off us and makes us uncomfortable. Yesterday since its in a ghetto area I parked my suv there and when we came out there has your common Honda Civic really close to us, and noticed a dent in the side step, without it it would've damaged the vehicle and it's not even mine, it's my dads g class! I suggested to my so we stop going but she says the shakes are worth it, I honestly have no reason to believe they don't "add" things to our drinks out of hate. Is their anything I can to to stop these lateenos from strong eyeing us?

Ideas, could they help race using an automatic transmission?

I've been interested in racing lately. Although it is not part of my question, bonus points if you briefly explain the different types!
First off, this is purely for curiosity(for now, no life long promises!).
I've read a lot saying manual transmissions are more efficient for racing because you can hold the gears longer, into the redline rpm's, and that automatic transmissions will shift gears before redline point. For this reason, manual transmissions will get a faster acceleration if used properly.
My question however: Is it possible to achieve the same rpm's with an automatic? I don't mean a sports car, I mean like a typical Honda or Nissan. My theory to achieve this would be to start the race in 1 instead of D, then after getting into 6000 rpms shift into second gear, etc. Essentially manually shifting up the gears. Would this work?

I have not and do not intend to test this as it will most likely wreck my transmission I just rebuilt.

Ok so I have a 2004 Honda Element. I'm not sure how much longer I have left with my car before the engine or transmission dies. It has over 320 thousand miles. I took care of it well by only taking it to the dealer over the last 12 years. It was roomy for back seat passengers as well as hauling everything plus easy to clean floors. My family and I basically drove all over the US On various vacations over the years. 2007 Honda Accord Radio Broken?

So I have a 2007 honda accord, the radio has stopped working in it, Iv looked around the web to see what information I could find but none of them solved my issue, the whole radio unit itself will not turn on, I have checked the radio fuse as well as the ACC fuse, both seem to be in good condition, I have read that these radios aren't that good of quality and that it might be an Internal fuse, the green light at the bottom of the radio turns on but the lcd screen does not function, neither does any of the radio buttons, I was just curious as to if anyone knew any other repairs or solutions to fixing this issue, there is no CODE display because absolutely nothing appears on the screen.thanks!

What order do the stator wires go?

I have a 1989 honda vtr 250 I am replacing the stator. There are 3 yellow wires that go from the stator to the rectifier, the stator I bought requires you to put the 3 yellow wires into the connector. However I don't know which wires go in where, I do not know the order, the wires are the same size and color. Does it matter which 3 of the yellow wires go to the 3 rectifier wires?

My 2000 Honda Civic Si has 249K on car and transmission. 130k on JDM b16a. Converted to obd1. FF type 2 coilovers. New brakes and control arms. Camber kit on rear. Every thing else is factory. Clutch needs replaced but I have a brand new Exedy performance clutch ($350) still in the box. Ac has been taken out but i have all the parts to put back in. Car needs new hood and paint job. 2002 Honda Civic LX Coupe rear quarter panel repair?

I already got a cut for the replacement so i figure that marks the price of repair down nearly 400 dollars. I cant drive it to get it looked at because it slices my tire. I was hoping maybe there is an auto body worker out there that can give me an estimate. I will post the most detailed pictures pictures I can. I know they tax crazy amounts for their labor and try to scheme saying they have to do more work than they really have to do. I live in Tampa Florida and have been looking at Custom Classics for the repair. Does anybody know somewhere in this area that does good body work for a reasonable price? Help selling car for parts?!

I currently have a 2007 Honda Accord that was left in my driveway a few years ago and I'm looking to sell it for parts. The owner took the key and the title but never came back to pick it up. I put the car on Craigslist for parts and people are asking to buy the car whole. My only question are what should I price the car if I was to sell the car whole? And if the person ask to buy the car whole because they want to use it for parts?

The cars exterior and interior is in great condition but I dont know exactly how much mileage is on the car because I don't have the key. And it has a v6 engine.

So I'm still looking up the process to make sure the car is under my ownership. I'm living under my single mom and she doesn't exactly know how to help me. I learned she doesn't really negotiate with the dealership (which I heard is really, really bad) and I can't afford paying the ridiculous insurance amount to share with her 2012 car. 2004 Honda Civic Ex might have seized. I need some advice?

Monday June 15, I was driving my 2004 Honda Civic Ex 1.7L SOHC. When it suddenly shut off turning on the Check Engine Light, Low Pressure Indicator, and Battery Light. I have reason to believe my car lost all the oil. Reason being when I checked my drain plug it was leaking drop by drop. As seen in the picture I've attached. That's all the black gunk under the oil pan as well as most of the outer engine surface… Anywho when I checked my dipstick I had no oil. Weird part is my car never asked me for a maintenance check or oil change. I've changed the oil and I've tried starting it and all I get is a click. I popped out the ignition coils and spark plugs so far. My spark plugs look like they've been burned out. I really can't see more internally.
If this the case where I have seized my engine please help. I know some people believe in Marvel Mystery Oil. I need some facts and opinions on how I can fix thia before I have to take the next step. I've had 3 set backs with this car in 1 year since I've had it. I don't know how many previous owners its had but this car has cost me so much time and money. From timing belts, water pump, new hoses, radiator, rebuilt head block or cylinders because they were already damaged. Some how this car has been bad luck.
I need some advise. I'm I don't know much about mechanics or I'd fix this myself.

Good morning,i'm writing from Italy and i would like to ask you one thing about my Bike Honda crf 250 m. The original back tire is 130/70 r17 and it is not so nice to see,given that the bike could look better with a bigger tire. My question is if it is possible to change from 130/70 17 to 150/70 r 17 whitout changing the wheel. Or at least if 150/70 is too much,till which size i can use bigger tires without changing the wheels. I don't care about police, i mean if it is feasible. What would be a good bike for me?

I m 15, about 5 6-ish and 125lbs, so not very big. I m wondering what kind of bike I should get, I want something with good speed and for it to be comfortable. I m just starting out, so nothing insanely fast. My dad has a 99 ZX-11 which I like very much but it s far too much bike for me to start on. I can lift it off the kickstand fairly easily but I m not really comfortable in doing so as it has a heavy weight of 600 ish lbs. What should I start on? I m in to any types of bikes, Honda CB series, Ninja 250 s, Ducati Scramblers, etc. Recommend me something.

Last night on my way home for work I noticed a small Honda civic stuck in a ditch along side the road. Being the nice guy I am I pulled over and asked them if they wanted me to try and pull them out with my truck. Of course they agreed. Anyways I back off the side of the road and maybe left half of one of the front tires on the road. While in the bed of my truck getting my tow straps out I was hit head on by another driver going around 45mph. I don't remember the impact just waking up on the ground in pain. Apparently I flew from the bed and landed on the road. Anyways the ambulance came and took me to the hospital. Turns out that I fractured my skull and needed multiple stitches. I was very fortunate to make it out that easy.
What I was wondering was who should be at fault, I am getting a lawyer to represent me and I'm sure she will do the same. She received a ticket for improper handling of her vehicle and she admitted in the police report that she saw the truck and headlights. Will they pay for my medical bills, I have insurance but it will still be expensive, at this point I don't know the condition of my truck because It was towed off scene. Anyways I will be missing work too, I was wondering if the could compensate or what the deal with that would be. Doctors orders are that I can't work for at least 2 weeks.

Added (1). When i'm reversing, my car squeals extremely loudly. It continues when i accelerate, and appears to disappear when i press the brakes. The sound will continue even when the breaks are pressed, or will completely disappear for short amounts of time. I'm wondering if it's the brakes, even though the noise tends to go away once they are pressed?

98 Honda Civic LX has very rough start?

Sometimes will start just fine
Sometimes it will start rough, and do one of two things:
1) idle low then recover
2) die

Most of the time I have to crank it for 5-10 seconds before I can even get one of the pistons to fire, then after giving it gas and enduring violent shaking, it will be able to fire all the cylinders and start "successfully".

Here is what I have tried:
- fuel filter replaced
- spark plugs replaced
- distributor cap and rotor replaced
- used fuel injector cleaner
- changed air filter

Additional details (maybe not relevant)

- leaking water pump, has 150k miles so I'm about to change timing belt and all systems that you change with that job. Coolant leaks so I keep my res filled with water (cause it's summer).

- Oil and oil filter have been changed recently

- Thermostat changed recently as well as coolant system flushed

Title for my car from a different state?!

So here s the situation. I purchased a used car for short money a couple days ago through a private sale. The bill of sale told me it was a 1999 Honda civic, however when I run the VIN I come to find out it is actually a 2000. I purchased a report from what I have been told is a reputable vin check website which has told me there is no theft report, lien, or accident reports. It also told me there is a current title in New York state. I purchased the car in New Hampshire, and it even had a nh state inspection sticker for last year with the correct VIN and the mileage marker reads about 3k less than the odometer which seems accurate given that this is a sticker from a little under a year ago. Is this even possible to have it titled in new York but registered in New Hampshire? How may I obtain the title so I can register my new to me car and enjoy the first car I bought with my own money? And believe me, I have learned my lesson, so please no telling me what I did wrong with this purchase and how I could have done it better, I understand that and own the mistake. From now on I will always check the VIN and ask for more documentation than what I received this time around. Please anyone who can lead me in the right direction here pass on any information you can that might be of assistance.

1990 Civic SI CEL code 9?

Lately I have been getting a CEL code 9, No 1 Cylinder Position code. It happens in the morning, before I go to work. It goes on when I put my car into gear and go about 3 feet. If I warm the car up for 5 minutes, it does not go on. I have changed the distributor 3 times, with a used one and a brand new one. Same problem. I checked the wiring, via the Honda manual and the distributor is good and the wiring at the ECU is in the acceptable range using my multimeter. I took it into a repair shop and they checked for vacuum leaks and timing, and they said it was good and recommended that I replace the ECU. I swapped in an ECU from another working Civic SI and it is doing the same exact thing. The car drives fine while the check engine light is on, but it scares me to commute 40 miles to work. It does not go off in the afternoon when the weather is warm. I did notice that my car is rattling a lot, which kind of started around the same time as my issue. Yesterday I changed the oil and while I was under the car I knocked on the catalytic converter. It rattled a lot, and I see that this is what is causing my rattling. I banged on it a lot just to see if it was internal or the heat shield. I believe it is internal. Today when I started the car, the check engine light came on immediately and even after warming up the car and driving it down the block, the CEL would not turn off. The Code 9 was still the only code blinking. Could my catalytic converter be causing my problem?

Need advice about Nissan Maxima Car?!

I am in the market for a used car and have been looking at brands I've heard are reliable (Honda and Toyota). I came across a 2005 Nissan Maxima with 170k miles. It is really nice and has all of the features. My question is are Nissans good, reliable cars that could be compared to Honda or Toyota? Does anyone know how high their mileage can get before you start excpieriencing problems, like is 170k too much? I've read some reviews where people say the transmissions suck but others say they've never had a problem. 2005 Honda Civic won't start?

Hey I was wondering if anybody could tell me what's up with my car. I have a 2005 Honda Civic (standard) and just about 2 months ago I was driving and heard a clicking noise and all of a sudden my car lost power and it sounded like something blew. When I try to turn it over now nothing happens at all. All the oil is drained. Someone told me it could be a oil pump then someone else told me it could be a head gasket. I know I want fuel injectiong for sure, where I live about 50% of the time its under 40 degrees and I dont want to deal with a long warm up time. I also need it to be under $4500. What is a good first car?

I live in Ontario canada and I'll be turning 16 soon. I want to at least have my own car for when I get my g2 and can drive alone. My parents will help pay for a beater but don't want to spend to much as they payed for my sisters Honda civic when she turned 16. What is the most likely reason my Honda Passport is dying spontaneously?

I drive a 1998 Honda Passport. About 2 months ago the AC went out, then the Radio was turning on and off on it's own. About 5 minutes later my car was dead in the street and had to be towed. The Mechanic I took it to replaced the battery, a belt, and the Alternator. Today it did the same thing, with the same pattern.

After looking for an answer in a number of Forums and online answer pages, I found that a lot of Passport owners have this issue. Many replace spark plugs, alternators, batteries, crankshafts, etc and still do NOT see an improvement. I cannot afford to rebuild this car trying to fix this.

Does anyone know why Passports tend to do this? Is there a specific thing I should be aiming my attention at?

Are AIP Elctronics products reliable?

I'm buying a Honda passport 1996. It needs a battery and crankshaft sensor. I found a crankshaft sensor carried by AIP Electronics for $30 roughly. Autozone and advanced auto parts carry one that costs $175. How much can I get for a serious accident on the highway?

Me, my boyfriend, and my two kids (7 and 5 month old) were involved in a serious collision on the highway. A big HINO truck rear ended the car behind me and then my car that I was driving. The entire trunk of my Honda Civic is gone. My 5 month old has some hearing loss in her right ear. My daughter suffued a concussion and some damage to her teeth. Also, she has been acting a bit strange lately, hopefully there's no brain injury but that's something that we will investigate. My boyfriend has a pinched nerve in his back and is no longer able to work ( who knows for how long). I had to drop my courses at university due to a back sprain I can't finish the rest of the summer term. How much do you think we can get for all this? I mean no amount of money will bring back all of my baby's hearing or change the fact that my 7 year old had a concussion. We live in Canada the laws are different here.
