My Four Wheeler broke what's wrong with it?

Hey I have a 2012 Honda Four Trax Trx420te. Right now something is wrong with it. It will start up just fine. But when ever I put it into the next gear it will run for a few seconds and it will cut off. If I'm fast enough to put it into neutral it will stay on. Can someone tell me what's wrong?
