What order do the stator wires go?

I have a 1989 honda vtr 250 I am replacing the stator. There are 3 yellow wires that go from the stator to the rectifier, the stator I bought requires you to put the 3 yellow wires into the connector. However I don't know which wires go in where, I do not know the order, the wires are the same size and color. Does it matter which 3 of the yellow wires go to the 3 rectifier wires?
