How to I use aux in my 2008 Honda Civic coupe ex?

I have a 2008 Honda Civic coupe with navigation system. I know where the aux input is but when I plug it in there is no way for me to change it on the navigation system because it only has the "cd/xm" option and the normal fm and am buttons. Thanks in advance!
