My 2005 honda accord hybrid trunk does not open?

My trunk of my 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid does not open. I tried the key, and the latch inside. It does not work. But I still hear the noise as if it would open. I tried having someone pull it open while I pulled the latch, that didn't work, did the same with the key. There is no way I can get in through the back seat to get to an " emergency latch".
How can I get my trunk open?
