Why is my is my cluth so loose it won't let me shift gear?

bout 30 mins ago i got in my car and noticed that the clutch pedal was really loose. Because of the clutch i cant shift into gear, therefore my car is not able to go anywhere. If anyone has experienced this before or know whats the problem with my clutch please inform me with what i can do or how i can fix this problem BTW is a Honda. Thank you so muchhhh
