More specifically, I'm selling a set of 2006 Acura TL rims (235/45 R17, 9Jx16 ET40). The car they are going in is a 2002 Honda Oddysey with smaller tires and rims (225/60 R16, 7Jx16 ET40). Bolt patterns are the same on both as are the offsets (ET40). However, those numbers are indicating that the tire for the TL is 2" (50mm) wider. I'm guessing the inner clearance will be reduced by 1" and will protrude by 1" on the outside as well. Is 1"/25mm less on the inner clearance going to be too close to the suspension?
