So I'm fairly poor with cars. The 'Maintenance Required' light came on today and I'm not sure if I should get it checked (I'm pretty strapped for cash ATM). The transmission feels like it's skipping gears or it's slipping (The cars jerky and gets to pretty high RPM around 4000 before shifting from second to third). On the other hand I haven't gotten a chance to do an oil change on it and I don't know if that could cause the 'Maintenance Required' light to come on. I'm going to run the VIN tonight through Honda to see if there's any recalls but any help would be great. Thanks.
