I replaced my blown head gasket but now when I start my car it struggles to do so and the engine shakes and has little to no power. The manifold also gets very hot ( even wile idling) in a mater of seconds and then glows red hot with in a few minutes. My theory is a clogged cat. Can I gut my cat? Should it fix the problem? How do you gut the cat?
Also I'm not sure if the 2002 lx has the cat an manifold as one piece?
