Thinking about buying a bmw?

Im thinking about buying a bmw 3 series the model year im looking for will be between like 07-11 and im willing to spend around 10k-15k but the thing is will it be worth it because i know bmw parts can be expensive but one of my dad s close friends only works on bmws and other german cars and if somethin ever happens to the car i can bring it to him and he can maybe give me a affordable price but lets hope that wont happen and im not really interested in cars from dealer and i looked at criagslist by owner and i found pretty decent ones that looked pretty good and matched my budget and im 19 male btw but i really really want a bmw and people say bmws dont break easily and i have an honda accord at the moment
