1995 honda civic ej1? Lights not working?
Hello, so I recently purchased a honda civic. I got it for a cheap price. The turn signals do not work at all. Does anyone know what I have to do? Also I was messing around with the fuse box and I think I messed up the window power button on the right side >.< Does anyone know what I have to do to fix the turn signals? Thanks!
Also my car is really low, like it scrapes a lot and when I drive i feel like the wheel hits when there is a bump, I am guessing they don't have the coils or whatever they are called? How much does it cost to raise it up? Thank you in advance!

Is it possible to get a new car with no credit/no cosigner?
Probably a stupid question and impossible but it doesn't hurt to ask… I'm 18 I've been employed for 5 months and I make about $350 a month (pretty much nothing but I'm looking for more jobs) I currently have a 2000 Honda civic with a busted drivers door and I would like to sell it to go as a down payment. Is it possible to go to a car dealership that does not check for credit? I've never bought my own car so I have no idea how this works? Lol I could probably do a $400 down payment if that's possible? Probably not but all the information you can give me will be great. Also I can probably pay about $150 a month for a new car. I have no one to cosign and I have no credit so I'm pretty much screwed and inexperienced with the real world. Thanks!

2004 Honda Accord or 2004 Pontiac GTO?
I'm in the market for a new car. I currently drive a 1999 mazda Miata and my local dealer has a pretty nice v6 2004 Honda Accord with 180,000 miles on it. He is asking $7,000 which is to high for the car but I'm going to try and talk him down to $5,500. I'm using my car as a down payment. And pay $250 a month for the next year. My friends parents own a 2004 pontiac GTO and it has a lot of work done to it. It only has 58,000 miles on it and they will give it to me for $8,000. I don't think they will let me finance it so I would save as much as I can and sell my current car to get it. What should I go with? I don't have a pic of the Honda.

Honda Civic Car Alarm issues?
My car just got out of the shop after being in a wreck. I have a 2003 Honda Civic w a manual transmission. My car remote unlock button does not work. If i push on it, it simply beeps but will not unlock? So now I have to use the key to get in and every time I do the alarm goes off. To make the alarm go off i can use the remote to look it and turn it off. But i cannot unlock it with the remote. I have changed the batteries in the remote. The cover of the unlock button has fallen off from wear and tear also. What could this be? Do i need a new remote? Or could it be the fuse?

Can I swap a fi motor into an early 80s honda cb750?
Looking to buy a 81 cb750 or around that time frame want to know if I could put a fuel injected motor in it without having to chop and weld alot of stuff, is it possible? Any idea what motors would work best?

Good compact-midsize SUV?
I am looking at purchasing a compact to midsize SUV. I want something with reliability and decent power. Fuel economy is important too, but it doesn't have to be exceptional… I am honestly ok with "pretty good" MPG. The models I have been interested in so far are Dodge Durango, Subaru Forester, and Honda CR-V. Looks-wise, I like the Durango and Forester a little better. My price ballpark is around $5k (so I assume I will be looking at early 2000's models). Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is trading my Miata for an accord a good idea?
I currently have a 1999 Mazda Miata with 160,000 miles on it. I am looking at a 2004 Honda accord with 180,000 miles on it. The dealer is asking for my car down and $300 a month for 18 months (the car is priced at $7,000). I m looking for a new car because my Miata is just to small. I have a dog and I take trips throughout the year with my girlfriend and I hate always using her car. Is this a good deal?

Leasing a new car - Is this a good deal?
I'm leasing a new Honda Accord coupe 2015, I went in to talk to the guy about all the details. I'm trading in my old car. He appraised it at 9,500 bc it's been in 2 accidents. Both accidents were the cause of the other drivers
However the car is fixed and all damages were paid by the insurance. I also recondition vehicles for a living so it looks clean.
The car has 19,455 miles on it. 2012 version. I don't drive a lot so that's why I'm looking to lease.
Now I still owe $14.336 on the vehicle, but I made a deal with Honda on paying off my loan. Obviously there was negative equity but they said they would pay it fully if I leased. Now on my used car, my monthly payments were $420. On my new lease if I decide to do it, it would come out $425. No down payment, no acquisition fees, no security deposit, nothing, just my first lease payment of $425.
I want to know if this is a good deal or if something seems fishy. Also, if it is a reasonable deal, what questions should I ask the finance manager? Someone told me the most important question to ask is about the money factor (B Factor)? Is this true?
Any tips or advice would be great

Added (1). I remember asking on here what would be a good car for my grandma, and I had suggested a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. Later on, since used cars were cheaper, we found a used car for her that was smaller than those, but was also by a Japanese company-the car was a Mazda3.
Anyways, when I asked my question about the Honda and Toyota, this person said that Honda and Toyota make boring cars and German cars are better. He said that too many people bought them. I don't think Mazda is popular though.

Which dirt bike would be best?
I'm a 5'2 girl, my last dirt bike did me well until it was stolen. It was a 2stroke 94' Yamaha 100 never did any maintenance on it just gas and oil and it worked great the last 4 years.
I'm looking to spend about a grand on another 100. As I live in the desert and just use it for some trail riding and camping.
So far I have narrowed it down to a 03' Honda XR100 - 4 stroke, good condition, worn tires, no extras
or a 03' Suzuki RM100 - 2stroke, good condition, new tires, skid plate, desert tank, DP heavy duty clutch
Neither have been raced both are in good condition.
With minimal dirt bike knowledge (repair/ maintenance exc.) and mostly trail riding which would be best for me?
*If something goes wrong or needs fixing I just drop it off at the local repair shop

Car Key Remote Powers don't work to unlock/lock car? Honda ex?
It work perfectly fine with locking and unlocking my Honda with the key remote.
After installing my aftermarket radio, putting the compartments back in place and as I was done I tried normally locking my car with the remote and it doesn't work.
I literally have to use my key to open the door, it's getting a annoying doing this please help thanks.

Front Wheel stiffens at a certain point and gives a noise, just nothing or something that needs checking out?
I was just getting my motorbike out of its pen when I noticed that I needed more force to move the bike at different moments, and the front wheel seemed to make a noise as it stiffened, like a quietish squeal. I gave it a low speed test and I can still feel the front wheel stiffening whilst on the move.
Thing is, I haven't used it for a week and I found a set of earphones on my bike seat (it's in a little pen, uncovered).
Is it something serious or am I just franking out for no reason at all? I'm not sure if it's just lack of use, something going on with the wheel or diskbrake or if I'm just worring for no reason at all. I don't want to push it to speed without knowing.
Added (1). It also occurs when the bike is stationary and I physically turn the wheel.
I do tend to be quite noticeable about any difference so it could just be me overthinking things.

How to get better gas millage?
I have a 2006 ford crown Victoria and it gives me around 15city / 22highway mpg. And I was just asking does chevron Supreme gas give better gas millage because am not worried about the highway millage 22-24 is good. It's just the city 15 thats the problem, how can I get better city millage? Btw my brother pumps supreme chevron in a 2005 Honda civic hybrid and it gives him 35city / 40hwy instead of 32city/ 35hwy.

The noise disipates when you take your foot off the gas. The noise is in the front left side of the vehicle. Just recently flushed the transmission with no resolbe. Any suggestions?

Should I trade in my 2014 Veloster for a Honda Civic Coupe or Scion tC?
Hey guys, I currently own a 2014 non turbo automatic Veloster and I really want to trade it in for something a bit faster. I know the Honda Civic Coupe isn't that fast but it's alot cheaper than the tC. And if I plan on getting the tC, it'll have to be used. My current price range is under $20,000.I'm also only interested in driving an automatic (I can't drive a manual). I'm also not looking for a performance sports car, just something that's faster than my current Veloster.

Installing vehicle automatic door locks?
I recently bought a 2011 Honda Civic DX-VP. This trim level sadly does not have automatic door locks and I am already realizing how big of a pain it is.
I know that I can purchase kits online, from amazon or best buy, however I was wondering if anyone knew of any brands that they have had experience with before. Also, how would I go about installation- would any vehicle electronic shop know how to install them? Or would I have to purchase their own kits.
Also if you have any idea on how much an estimated price would be for all 4 doors to be converted to automatic.

1999 Honda Civic EX died in the road and will not turn over. Thoughts?
I was driving to work and the car just stalled out. All I had was forward momentum. It cranks but will not turn over. I was told to pull a spark plug and hold it close to the engine and see if it sparks, and it didnt. From what I ve read, The Ignition Control Module should be replaced. But as always I have doubts can anyone offer suggestions or confirm this?

How much money should I pay a certified mechanic for a top end overhaul on a 1978 Honda XL 250s?
Or a similar dual sport motorcycle for comparison…
I was told he is performing a top end overhaul (replacing all gaskets and rings on piston, cleaning everything, installing a battery, replacing compression release cable, replacing cylinder head, draining all oil/replacing). He indicated a previous owner put goop on the engine that he had to take off and it needed a lot of cleaning.
Is this everything that entails a "top end overhaul?"
Parts supposedly cost $150, what should I pay for labor?

Car is overheating but when I turn fan on it only blows cold air?
This is a 2003 Honda Civic with about 140k on it. I've had this car checked out by a mechianic and the thermostat was replaced had a pressure test to check for air pockets, nothing. Had a test for a bad head gasket with some sort of chemical test which came back negative. But the car still overheats. I was told by this mechanic that there is a pinhole sized leak in the head gasket somewhere that leaks into the engine very slowly. I have to drive about 60mi everyday and as I drive at high speeds the car is fine it doesn't overheat. It's only when I am at idle or driving slowly that the gauge begins the rise. On these daily trips I have the heater blowing the entire time because I know it acts like another fan to take heat off the engine. But when I am at a redlight all the sudden the air which is on the hot position will turn cold and then the gauge will start to climb. Is this normal for a blown head gasket? Or when the coolant gets low. By the time I get to my destination is the coolant is basically gone and it's about the same time I am close to my destination that the air turns from hot to cold and overheats. Please any ideas would be fantastic!

Added (1). My car is a 2006 Honda Civic. It makes a loud squealing from what sounds like the front driver's side. It stops when I brake and usually starts when I accelerate. It also does it when I just start my drive to work but usually is gone by the time I get there. It squeals at least once per drive, sometimes the entire trip, sometimes just for a moment. My boyfriend said that it doesn't sound like a belt problem, but he isn't sure.
Any ideas?

Installing an aftermarket sensor?
Hi, so I have a 2002 Honda civic LX model with a stock non-vtec engine. I recently bought a gauge cluster pod containing electric oil temp, oil pressure, and water temp gauges from a guy on craigslist, it was $40 and it looked cool so I figured why not just for sh*ts and giggles. The LX model that I have doesn't come stock with an oil temp and pressure sensor though (that I know of) an I was wondering what it would take to install one that can be wired up to the gauges? I've tried asking multiple shops but the majority refuse to install it or help with it because I didn't buy the gauges from them (completely understandable) and they can't keep it under shop warranty.

Honda didn't start when hot?
I hi my honda is giving me problems. It starts and i can drive it but if i drive far and turn it off and wait 10min it wont start any more and i have to wait half an hour for it to start i already changed the relay the one under the drivers side. Its a honda accord 98 any suggestions?drove it today and it started fine ran good and stopped at the market for 10 min came back didn't turn on tried a few times but the battery was gonna give out. Waited 30min and it started.

I got ripped off on my used car purchase?
I bought a 1989 Honda accord from my friends uncle. The deal was, I give him $500 then and another $500 in two weeks for a total of $1000 for the car. The owner of the car never told me it was salvage. Also, the carburator needs to be rebuilt. When I got the carburator looked at, the mechanic said that the engine light is disconnected. I don't want the car anymore because of all this plus I doubt it will pass smog now. Since I already gave him $500, I am willing to buy it for only $700 or $750 at most. What should I do, since he still has the pink slip and I doubt he will want to give my money back or take $700. Should I threaten with small claims court? Thanks in advance

Got a 1990 EF hatchback, basically someone loosed my lug nuts and tire fell off messed up my studs bad so i replaced the whole hub and studs and basically now it won't spin at all but its just on that side, it spun fine with the old hub on but the studs were screwed so it can't be a diff problem if it spun before, i tightened the nut to 134ft/lbs but idk the things just completely stuck, and its in neutral with the e-brake off to eliminate those problems for you, need help asap and don't have the money to tow it to a mechanic

Why don't my HID light colors match?
Hey this question is open to anybody who may have a possible resolutions. I bought 35 W 8000k
HID lights for my Honda accord 2004. And it seems that the side with the battery the drivers, is a lot brighter and whiter then the right side. Any reasons why this may be I'm thinking because of cheap aftermarket bulbs and or ballasts?

Honda Civic window wont roll up?

2000 Honda Civic LX - No Start issue?
Hey guys, got a 2000 Honda Civic LX 1.6L with a no start issue. She just cranks all day but wont fire up. Replaced distro cap, rotor, ignition coil, spark plugs, and wires. Cleaned all grounds, and tried jump starting. Only things I can think of next are the igniter, fuel filter, or (what my mechanic told me to change) the Engine coolant temperature sensor. I bought the sensor today and will change it out in a minute, doubt it will fix the issue though. Any ideas?

Why is my Fuel Consumption high compared to others of the same car model?
I own a Chevrolet Cruze 1.8 AT LS and I regularly record my Fuel Consumption at fuelly. I noticed that my average Fuel consumption is one of the lowest at fuelly. My car is regularly maintained and has around 40,000 km. I use my car for city driving in moderate to heavy traffic. My fuel consumption averages at 6-7KM per Liter. My brother owns a Honda Civic 1.8 AT and his car averages at 8KM per liter. Can someone explain to me why there is a a huge difference in fuel consumption between the cruze and civic? Is there something I can do to improve my cars fuel consumption?

Misfiring car? Not sure what to do next?
I went to autozone and then ran a test on the code reader. I got back the P0303 or whichever one is the third coil. I tested the coil by pulling each cover off and testing the difference of each on the engines sound, no difference. So now I think it might be the spark plug on the third coil position? The car is a 2003 honda civic with 140k on it. Spark plugs haven't been changed as far as I know, bought this car used.
What do you think?

Dealership won't change my transmission filter?
2002 honda civic 126,000 miles that had remanufactured transmission at 91,000 miles 6 years ago. Now i've done a fluid exchange every 2 yrs since then but i was now going to do a flush for $150 but the dealer says they don't remove the filter because it's sealed. Is this bad to keep the tranny filter in there for 6 yrs already?
I want the remaned tranny to last at least 91k like the original.

How to recover from a motorcycle falling from sand/gravel on ground?
Hey
I was on 1st or 2nd gear and making a slow right turn into a park. All of a sudden my motorcycle started to fall as there was a little sand or gravel on the road. I almost hit the ground but somehow I managed to bring bike up by rolling on the throttle. When I did that the bike got up straight again. As soon as I was straight I hit the brakes and avoided falling this way. Don't know why I did that maybe instinctively. At least this is what I remember. I am a new to motorcycling and I have a Honda crb250. My question is was what I did correct? The whole experience scared the heck out of me and wanted to know what to do if it happens again? Thanks

2003 Honda Accord fuel efficiency?
I bought a 2003 Honda Accord this past summer its a 4 cylinder coupe with approx 230000 km and during the fall months i was only getting about 480 km before the gas light goes on and thats with mix highway and city driving and i usually drive the car no more than 110 km/hr on the highway. My friend purchased the same car, same year with 200000km on it. His car gives him about 540km before the light goes on and he drives his car 120-130km on the highway also with mix highway and city driving. I recently did a tuneup where i changed all 4 spark plugs and i also changed the filter. I was thinking of resetting the car to factory settings by removing the battery terminals.
Is there anything else i can do?
Added (1). Also both cars are the same year, automatic, same trim (probably doesn't make a difference) and his just has 30,000km less than me. We also calculated that if i fill up with 54L of gas ill have only driven 480km and if he fills up and puts in 54L of gas his odometer reading is at 570km

I want fwy accessible as well good for road trips up through the mountains. Possible durable for a Sturgis trip. But back to the basics. 02 honda accord stalling problems?
Lately, every few days, my 2002 Honda Accord V6 will act up. I start my car, it turns over right away, but the idle is very rough and varys from around 300 to 500 RPM, which is very rough and on the verge of shutting off. If i give it any throttle, it dies, i start it again and it does this over and over. The problem gets better and the RPM goes up little by little and goes away after a minute or two. Temperature is not a problem, it does this cold or warm. It stumps me because it only does it once ever couple days and it never has given me a dash light. Any help?

I'm a teen and am getting my own car since my sister is taking the hand me down v6 highlander from my dad to college so now I'm getting my own car. Using the money my dad is willing to put down on the car and the money I have saved I can afford a $30,000 car now there are a few things I am looking for and somethings my dad is looking for. Personally I want a care that is fast, looks cool, handles well, basically I'm looking for a sports car something that comes to mind for me is a 2014 mustang or a Subaru BRZ. However my dad wants to make sure the car I get is very reliable, can maneuver in light snow or rain, also he loves JDM and considers Toyota,
Honda, and subaru to be the best brands however he is ok with a car from Ford or any European brand. Agian my budget is 30k however I can go a few thousand more.

What would be a good starter motorcycle?
I am kind of set on buying a motorcycle. The most practice iv had on one is on a pocket rocket when i was younger, so basically none. I am planning on taking the Motorcycle Safety Course soon and will buy a bike soon after. I am dead set on a sport styling. I was looking into maybe a used Honda CBR500 or maybe a newer Ninja 300. I dont really want a 250 because i know i will outgrow it quickly and i wont have the money or time to invest in selling it and buying another. I will take any suggestions. My friend started on GSXR 600 and is doing fine so maybe one of those? I will be responsible on any bike i get and only use as much power as i need. I will also wear a leather jacket with pads inside for protection along with hard knuckle gloves and helmet. Keep in mind that i am 6 feet tall and weigh roughly 160 pounds. Thank you:-)

A 2008 Honda CBR600RR w/ 20,000 Miles. Good buy?
They are asking $6,700 for it. Assuming that the pre-purchase inspection goes well obviously. I won t be selling the bike for any reason unless I m forced to sell it. I would change the fairings, exhaust, get new tires and am willing to repair it if anything goes wrong that can be fixed. Any thoughts from you guys? All answers appreciated, but try to keep it serious. Thanks! :)

Honda 2011 Accord making bumping noise today? Is it safe?
I have a Honda 2011 Accord, and just today it was making bumping noises when I was driving. It was most noticeable at low speeds and as I drove on the highway the sound went away, but this is only because the sound gets faster and quicker when the speed is faster as well… It's not a loud noise, but sounds like as if you're constantly driving over a line or small bump in the road. No steering wheel shaking or anything. It was also snowing today and temperature is -2 C if that matters. It went away once I got to work, but worried that it will come back.

Do cheap $50 struts last at least 2-3 years?
My 2002 Honda civic has 126,000 miles on the original oem struts. Those are $170 each at the dealer so $350 for 2 oem front struts & that does not even include the $500 of labor. An independent mechanic will do the labor for $180 with free alignment so if I buy cheap struts I would pay $280 total. Your thoughts?

Should I sell my 2013 Civic for a 2013 Mercedes Benz C250?
I'm 17 and 2 years ago my parents bought me a custom honda civic coupe for my 16th birthday. I really do like the car but, i'm honestly getting a little tired of the coupe body style and the pickup on the civic is not that fantastic. I have been talking to them about the possibility of trading it in for MBZ c250, i drove my friend's the other day and i seemed to like it a lot the pickup and just the all over luxury feel to it. My parent's have already checked with the insurance company and have that straightened out and they're letting me decide. Should i go for it, or should i keep the civic? Also if i do get the MBZ should i get black or white? Let me tell you I am an extremely responsible driver, haven't been pulled over once or gotten in any sort of accident or done any damage to my car, i am also employed and plan to pay some on the car as well

Acura TSX or Honda Accord?
I'm looking to buy a pre certified vehicle and right now I'm stuck between a 2010 Acura TSX and 2010 Honda Accord Ex-L. They both have leather trim and come with bluetooth and are about the same price [$15k-$17k]
My question is, are Acura Parts expensive? Should I buy the TSX or Accord?
I'm not looking to spend too much but I do want something nice being that I will probably have the vehicle for at least 5years. Please help.

Sold car and it broke down on buyer?
Located in Ontario, by the way.
I bought a 2001 Honda Civic about a year ago, i had a new motor, new starter, new alternator, and new battery all put in the car and put some rims that I 3 grand when I bought them on it. It had NO signs of problems after all the work. About 4 months later in the summer my cousin offered to sell me his Mustang so I wanted to sell the Civic. A guy about 18 years old looked at it by himself, then the next day looked at it with his dad, I even let his dad test drive it and they were excited and loved it. I sold it for $2500 (cheaper than my original asking price because the body isn't perfect).
Two weeks later I get a text that the car overheated and he was stranded because he drove the car all the way across the border to the States! It's been a couple months now and he's taking me to small claims. The bill of sale says as is, and we both signed it, both have a copy.
The car showed no signs of problems with me and I don't know if he had the car inspected before driving it to the States.
What should be my course of action? The car was great when it was in my possession

Is it good idea, changing headlights of car for beauty?
My 2004 honda accord headlights faded too much. I spent $50 few months ago at car spa to clean it. It looked like brand new after the cleaning but after few months it came back to that faded color. Autozone has headlights for $80. Is it a good idea to change lights for beauty?

Nissan Silvia S15 as a First Car?
Hello,
I'm a huge car lover, specifically JDM car. In Canada you are allowed to import a car that's made before 2000. Anyways I'm turning 16 soon and was wondering if a SR20DE S15 would be a good first car. This is the non turbo engine with 160 HP. I was deciding between this and a Civic Type R but the type r is much faster. I would also like to note that I can't get a beater as a first car because I won't care about it which means I'll probably do pulls and stuff all the time, whereas with a S15 I'll drive like an old lady because I don't wanna crash it. Any opinions? Also thinking of a Toyota Altezza 1999, a Civic SI, or a Honda Integra. All JDM cars.

A 1997 honda accord with 4 wheel drive?
Im currently looking at a car to buy and there's a 1997 honda accord and the guy selling it claims the car has 4 wheel drive. The car looks original (not modified). I have looked it up and found nothing about a 97 accord having this as an option. Is he just mistaken, or was in an option? Thanks!

Mechanical advice for 2012 Honda Shadow 750VT?!
I ride a 2012 Honda Shadow 750VT. One day I got stuck behind a long line of cars going up a steep hill with a red light at the top. It was stop-and-go and I couldn't get around the line… And then I managed to somehow over-rev or something and then I completely lost power. I got my bike to the top of the hill, but once I stopped it, every gear seemed just like neutral. It could no longer move under it's own power and I pushed it the rest of the way home.
I need to know what kind of awful damage I have done to my bike so I can find out how much money I need to save. I would be willing to either have it fixed or possibly fix it myself, I am open to advice for either if you have it. Thanks.

Does my car computer need to be updated?
Talked to a mechanic he said that my cars cpu needs to be updated i installed a neutral safety switch on my. Automatic 2000 honda accord and now my when i change from park to reverse/drive it goes into gear hard never did this before install and gear lights on dashboard dont work. Do you think if i update cpu it'll fix this problem?

Automatic car jerks when i put in reverse or drive?
2000 honda accord coupe v6 (automatic)
So my car was having problems it would only start in neutral not park so i replaced neutral safety switch and now car starts in park fine. Now on my dashboard the P light is the only one that'll light up the n r and d light have no color and when i put car in reverse or drive it jerks, but while driving car shifts perfectly fine. Before i put neutral safety switch in car never did this.
Any ideas?

I've been working at my job for 4 years now and things were fine for about 3 of those years. I drove a 1990 Honda hatchback that had a huge dent on the drivers side and was rolling the window down with a pair of pliers. Got along with everyone!
Early last year, my boyfriend was doing a job for the neighbors and they had a car in their backyard with a cover over it. The husband said they were selling it so we asked to see it. Turns out, it was a 2002 Jag X-Type. They wanted to get rid of the car as soon as possible, so I bought it for a fair price. Wasn't even looking for this car but God is Great! However everyday after work when I walk out someone is throwing coffee on the hood of my car. Whenever I try to tell people about it they ask me what I did to cause this. I don't know what to do. I really wanna know who is doing it. Any ideas on reasonable hidden cameras? Or should I just go to Hr? After all it's happening in the company parking lot.

How to get the anti theft system code for my 07 honda civic lx?
I took my car to Mieneke (NEVER AGIN) to get the ac charged. He said that I would need a new ac control and I would have to order the part from Honda. Ok cool. An hour and a half later I'm still waiting on them to pull my car around to the front and they finally decide to tell me that they cant get the code for the anti theft system to go off. They said that it was nothing that they did and I would have to pay the lock smith to come fix it in the morning and that I needed to call a ride to get home. Now I'm no mechanic but I do know that when you remove the battery and unplug fuses that can cause the anti theft system to think someone I trying to steal the car. Am I right o wrong? How do I get this fixed? I'm not paying for a locksmith to fix something I didn't break.

I bought new speakers, why do they crackle?
I bought Sony xplod 5 1/4 speakers for the front speakers since they were blown I'm pretty positive I hooked them up correctly. But when I turn up the volume to about 21 they start to crackle. I have two bad speakers in the real deck which I expect to crackle but would they effect the front? Because I'm going to change the back too. Will that fix the problem? Also I have a single den head unit (Kenwood) at least 9 years old would that effect things? What would effect the new speakers? Furthermore I have a 94 Honda accord

Opinions on which used car to buy. Acura TL, Nissan Maxima or Honda Accord coupe?
I'm in the market to buy a used good car. Narrowed it down to the 04-08 Acura TL, 06-08 Nissan Maxima or 08-09 Accord Coupe. I know I can't go wrong with any one of them but I'm not 100% what common problems are associated with each car. What happens if i overfill oil in my 2002 Honda CRV?
I overfilled the vehicle by about 9-10 qts. Yes I'm an idiot sometimes and move too fast without thinking. I turned the vehicle on and drove maybe 20 yards. It started blowing white smoke from the exhaust. I immediately turned the vehicle off and got out. I understand I need to drain the excess oil out but did I do any permanent damage?

2004 Honda Civic temperature problem?
My car has had some overheating problems in the past, the radiator, thermostat, fan relay and sensor have all been replaced. It's cold now, and I had been having problems with my heat not running correctly. It would go cold when my car would idle. Today was doing some highway driving, and the gauge kept getting close to hot and then going back down. Is this a heater issue? Or something else underlying?

2014 accord code b0029-11?
Hi I have a 2014 honda accord ex sedan 4 cylinders automatic that was wrecked.
Everything was replaced and repaired.
Only code left is
B0029-11 - short to ground in the right side curtain airbag first inflator.
If you know what This means, please advice me on what to check, I do not see a ground?

Are Kawasaki versys and such more comfortable than rockets?
I was looking at something in the 650 range. So far I've found the versys 650 and Hondas cb500x. Wanted something that I could take for a longer ride than my klx250s. I like the ducati hypermoto but its way to expensive. Do these have the same laying down seat position as crotch rockets? I'd have to buy used anyways so if you know of any older models around the 2005 or such era?

Honda accord only starts in neutral?

Replaced starter brake light switch battery and altenators good
Car doesnt start in park but if i put in neutral it starts right up.
I talked to mechanic he thinks neutral safety switch i cannot find a installation diagram anywhere online.
Does anybody have one?

Auto repair collision advice for radiator core replacement?
Hello I got in a minor accident and I need to replace my 94 Honda accords radiator support core. I need some advice on the replacement part. Should I get a genuine support from the dealer which is really expensive or should I get the extremely affordable aftermarket replacement. What do you think a collision expert would recommend? 2005 Honda Accord Coupe Driver s side window won t respond?
My 2005 Honda Accord Coupe driver side window doesn t work. It started with the passenger side intermittently. Usually if I turned off the car and restarted it the window would work again. Then after about a year of this intermittent problem, the driver s side started having intermittent problems. Strangely, usually one window would work when the other wouldn t. Last week, the drivers side quit working altogether. I press the button and nothing happens, not a sound. Since then, my passenger side window has worked more reliably than it has in 2 years. I can roll up and down the passenger side from either side of the car.

Taking my parent's car for a small drive. Am I in trouble?
Just about 2 hours ago, my parents left, and said they would be back at 11pm. Right now, it is 8:40pm, and there is a spare car in the garage, that only is used when 1 of my parent's 2 cars breaks down.
I am 14 years old, about 5'6'' and I took out the spare car, and 97' Honda Odyssey, for some driving on a private road. I did not go on the double yellow line roads, I am really afraid that I will be in an accident. I have driven it around for maybe 40 minutes, and parked it back in the garage. The thing is, I feel extremely horrible about this, and I am freaking out that when they come home, they'll see something that is off, and know I took out the spare car. I never went above 25 mph, and I am really afraid. I never defy my parents, and listen to them always. They aren't that strict, but I think if they find out, I will be punished severely. Should I just wait, and will the guilt just go away? Should I just confess? Please help me.

Believe Maintenance Minder on When to Change Oil on Honda Fit?
I bought a new 2013 Honda Fit in Jan 2013. It has 2 years has 5.5K miles on it. According to the manual and the Honda customer service via Twitter I should wait till the maintenance minder says to change the oil. This makes me nervous since it's been so long. My maintenance minder hasn't even come on (for 15% time on oil remaining). Anyone have experience working on cars with maintenance minders? Do they work or should I have my oil changed sooner? I plan to drive this car till it dies so I want to keep it in good shape.

I've seen answers that say 5K miles is ok with modern oil, and others that say do first oil change at 1.5k. Please add your level of experience with the system and/or cars in general to your reply. Can data (pics, videos, etc) be transferred to a car? (Honda civic)?
I wanted to play some music from my iphone 6 in my friend's car ( honda civic) via bluetooth. It seemed that the connection was not successful bc my phone screen didn't show any devices to select from in order to make bluetooth connection. She suggested to use the cable and she pressed the "aux" button. The screen showed "loading" and then it changed to "no data". We on/off bluetooth again n still nothing worked, although she could connect her phone via bluetooth with no problem. I was able to connect my phone to 2014 Honda accord via cable before. I was wondering if any of my pics or videos or contacts has been transferred(somehow) to my friend's car or not? Thank you so much! :)

Will this setup work for my 2007 civic?
Ok so my OEM passenger side speaker blew for my 2007 acura csx (Canadian car but its pretty much a 2007 honda civic) so I'm looking to replace my front speakers. My question is can I just buy speakers and use my factory wiring and everything else to plug n play.

My CEL has ben on and I took it to two different mechanics who gave me no information so I bought my own code reader. There were two codes that came up: P0135 and P0134. I know that means it's a problem with my O2 sensor but what is wrong exactly? And does it need to be replaced?

Is is my battery or alternator?
I have a 1998 honda accord ex 4 cylinder. My starter jus went out and was fixed. Autozone lost my battery i took in to b recharged and replaced it wit a "new battery" they got from the back. Ive drove my car fer less than 48 hrs and now my car wont start. I didnt leave any lights on n the night before i had to push down the automated locks by hand. Someone said its my alternator, but i havent had any problems wit it before. No lights were left on or doors open. Not even my stereo or my headlights were left on. Could it really be my alternator or did Autozone give me a bad battery?

Whats the catch with new cars and zero down?
East coast honda has zero down and 259$ a month on brand new accord. Could someone explain how this would work. Do you need a high credit score. I'm 23 y/o I've never gotten a ticket or in a accident in the 5 years I've been driving. So hopeful that would help with insurance. Im in school full time and work part time and make about 10k a year. It has a 36 month leadership purchase plan. My car died I just have a year left in school. Hi Guys,
I have Honda civic vti 2009 model and its 5 years old (79 KM running). After my 70K servicing it started making a whistle sound as soon as I start the car and sound increases as I push the gas paddle. Went to the same service centre where I had my car serviced and after 4 visits their answer is that they cant diagnose as this could be outcome of few different reasons. Spent $500 for last service and thats ended up living with this very annoying sound. Wondering if anyone else has the same issue or know anything about.
A very frustrated driver.

Changed Air Fuel Ratio Sensor In 2008 Honda Civic?
So we changed the O2/AFR sensor in our 2008 Honda Civic Sedan after having the car read and getting a p1172 (I think) code. On the reading it said "Faulty AF sensor" so we replaced it. The check engine light is still on but it runs smoother and gets better gas mileage than it ever has since we've had it! Code still shows up on the reader. Is it fine or should I look more into it? I got it up to 55 and 70 and it was running way smoother than it did before by a long shot. Should I worry with it? Can the check engine light be reset?
Added (1). Not a lot of exhaust either just the normal regular amount. It was LITERALLY just replaced 2 hours ago. (the AFR sensor) Does it take a while for it to click/register or what?

What is a good car for a college student?
This is my second year of college and finally going to buy a car! :D. I am 20 years old, turning 21 in august 11, 2015. I had my license for only a couple of months, like 3 months. 2000 Honda accord ac control?
I have a 2000 honda accord Ex 4 cylinder, I was at the junk yard and saw the same car and the ac control panel was nicer then the one I had, along with a different ac set up, I bought it anyways, I swapped the Peircing plastic ones for the wood grain one and tried the plug in the back but were not the same! Is the a way I can swap it completely?! I'm wanting the control with the screen on it.

i have a 2001 honda civic ex, i recently installed a new stereo in it and from then i haven't been able to lock the doors or unlock with the remote plus when i have the lights on, the chime would let me know if the lights are on but NOT anymore, can someone direct me to how to fix this issue or what caused it?

Should we have to pay more?
First of all I'll explain my living conditions. My husband and I decided to move into a zoo(two cousins, one(Cousin B) has 3 kids the other(Cousin A) 3 kids and 2 teens).Love my family but that's a lot of kids. We live in my cousin A's 6 bedroom house, I think the rent is fair for what we have which is: the smallest bedroom & upstairs bathroom we share w/everyone.
We buy our own food and EVERYTHING we need(we don't use the living room/kitchen it's always a mess). She agreed to $500. My cousins would each pay $800(rent is $1600). Our plan was to live here 6mnths while saving for our own place but sh** happens(details in the next paragraph). Also every month my cousin A will ask if I can "help" her out w/bills($100) this has been happening about every two mnths and I want to say NO. In 6 months she got a new car and bought 4 iPhones for her teens, plus her samsungs.
My husband(big rig local trucker) had to find a new job cos his hrs were getting cut in half. He found a better job but 3 months into it had an accident at work and tore his meniscus and acl. Same month: my alternator & battery went out(BMW Total cost$600) a month after, his car was stolen & cost $300 to get it out impound and towed home cos the clutch was completely blown out($350 to fix thanks him& Honda enthusiast friends). **** us right?
8 mnths later we're still here. We've not had any chance to really save for moving expenses: $2500(Deposit+1st months rent) we live in SanDiego,Ca Good weather blah blah…

Mazda reliability? Particularly 2013 mazda 3?
I'm in the market for a new car and I was looking between 2013 Toyota corolla which is just boring and doesn't have as much features compared to Honda, or mazda. The Mazda 3 is at a good price 1000 dollars cheaper then the Toyota. So my question is, is Mazda reliable for that generation, or should I stick with a very well known reliable car maker?

2014 Subaru BRZ or 2014 Honda Civic Si?
Okay so I am a 17 year old senior in highschool and I'm looking to get a new car. I've been searching for a while and I've come down to 2 cars. 2014 Subaru BRZ and 2014 Honda Civic Si sedan. They both have 7000 miles on them. Both are the same price (the BRZ a couple hundred more) but not significant amount. Both 6-Speed manuals. Both get the same MPG. I just can't decide which one I like more. Me being a 17 year old the cool little things go a long distance. Like the civic has pusy button start. And a nice sound system and room to carry friends. But the Subaru is just so much cooler looking. And I just love it. What do you think? Or if you think another car would be better please tell me. Thank you!

How to lower my car payment?
So I own a 2008 2-door Honda Civic coupe. The full payment for it is around $11,000 and roughly $373 monthly. At the time when I bought the car I really had no better options and had to make hasty decisions. Now that everything has smoothed out I find it ridiculous to be paying so much for a 2008. I'm 18 so my credit isn't this best (but its not bad) and because of that my mom said re-financing is out of the question. I also thought of trading it in but I already know that no company will want a 2008 that cost almost eleven-thousand. I pay on it faithfully and the monthly payment isnt the problem, its the fact that a used older car is costing me more than a newer model would. Is there any way I can lower the payment or trade it in? Please help. Thanks in advance.

How to diagnose engine rattle 2003 Honda Accord 3.0?
My fiancé recently purchased this car used with 118k miles. It seemed to check out fine when she got it. When the temperature dropped below 0 I noticed a weird rattling under the hood. The car is now at 120k miles. The oil levels are good. I checked the belt system but I'm not 100% sure the sound is coming from there because its not a typical "squeal" or "chirp" sound. It sounds more like a metallic rattling noise coming from the motor. Is there any way to diagnose this problem?

Is 2004 Hyundai Sonata V6 too much for first time teenage driver?
I recently bought 2004 Hyundai Sonata for $3000 (with my money that I earned by working at little caesars)
It is my first car and is my first year driving (yes, I did all driver's training and such).
All my friends have small cars like Toyota Corolla, VW Jetta, and Honda Civics.
I am aware that my car eats much more cars than my friends cars.
Is my car way too much for me to handle?
Should I sell my car and get a different one?

Does Exhaust tips change sound?
My brother has a 2005 Honda civic hybrid it has stock tip that had when bought brand new in 2005. And we went to O Reilly and saw exhaust tips for $5.99 that they said fits the Honda so am just asking will it change the sound or anything? It isnt aomg pipe it's 4inches I think

Anyone know what the drive from Melbourne to Maffra is like?
I live in eastern melbouurne, so its pretty easy to get to gippsland, drove to Moe once, and been on a drive to Sale, but never been to Maffra which i heard is 20 minutes north of Sale off the freeway in the mountainlands? Is this true?

just want to know since might be driving my old 2000 honda hrv there:P never had any problems with it, but it doesn't have much power for hills and slopes, especially on long drives e.g. Moe and ballarat the engine would go from 110 to around 90, and i'd have to ease off and step on it to get back to speed:P

What are some decent automobiles for college/university students?
I currently drive a Honda Accord which I strongly dislike. To me, an Accord embodies the type of car that a senior citizen would enjoy taking to a Sunday bingo tournament, to later be handed down to an unsuspecting grandchild who is forced to embrace "safety features". I know that reliable, economy cars are strongly for many students (such as a Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, or another Accord), but I have no interest in boring cars like that.
I am in the market for an older, sporty car that I can have some fun with. An example of this would be a 1985 Toyota Celica that I saw for sale on the web. A car like this is very inexpensive, and has unique qualities to it that you simply cannot find in most of the boring cars you see driven by young people.
To be clear, I am the one paying for it.
