My car overheated does it still have life?

My car overheated due to a water/antifreezer leak. My car stopped and lots of smoke was coming off. Iam 15 years old. At first the car would just revv. I placed some oil since it didnt have any and the car start it up again. White smoke still comes out thru the antifreeze place. And the exhaust lots of white smoke. My car is a 2004 honda civic dx. But I was wondering does my car stilll have a chance of surviving? When i started it up it went a few feet and stopped again. So i decided to leave it for the night. Can it survive or does anybody knows whats wrong with it? Thanks

Is it bad to floor a cold engine?

I have a 4 cyl honda accord and i live right off a very very busy highway. I usually start my car, turn the heat and radio on, back out of my driveway, and i almost always have to almost floor it to get up to speed since im backing out of my driveway into traffic. Im wondering if this is hard on the car. If so how bad is it?

Wiring tips an aftermarket speedo/tach on an 84' Honda VT700 (Shadow)?

I have an 84 VT700 (Shadow). I initially was going to cut down the dash and run without a dash/speedo tach(bike came to me without one) at all, but I decided to buy a cheap chinese speedo that looked nice. On newer bikes this conversion would be easy, but i'm guessing because the original dash used non LEDs and the new speedo uses LEDs on the indicator lights, ther wiring doesn't match up so well.

Do I have to connect diodes between every dash indicator light (turn, oil pressure, neut., etc)? I have the colored wire that matches up fine with the wiring diagram in the speedo, but there is also what seems like a negative for every colored wire. Neutral light for example has a G/R but there is also a Br/B on the original wire diagram but there is nowhere to put the Br/B onto the new speedo. Do I need a diode between the two or how exactly do I wire it up? I would be glad to explain more if needed.

Would a used or new Dodge challenger SXT be good for my first car?

Hi, I'm 16 year old male highschool and I just got my license and am looking to buy a first car, preferably muscle because that's my life right there and I think owning a Dodge Challenger as a first car instead of let's say a used Honda accord or even new would just define me as a person. I understand that I am a new driver and there are things to be put into consideration, but I don't want to be a part of the "don't get a nice car for your first" norm. Also, what would the insurance for a vehicle like that be? I live in North Carolina. And do challengers get good gas mileage, etc?, I heard they were pretty alright on that type of stuff. I don't want one to be fast/cool, I want it to show that I love American Muscle cars.

Car mechanic did not show me the invoice?

I visited a mechanic today and they told me I need to change one of the engine mounts they called a Honda dealer to ask the price and I accepted to let them fix it.
I searched on the internet and found the genuine part for half the price so I went to the mechanic and asked for the invoice but They did not give me the parts receipt and said that they have the right not to show me the receipt.
I was wondering if they have to show me the invoice or not?
