My Honda Civic keeps overheating and accelerates very slow?

i have Honda Civic 98 EX coupe, and it overheats very quick, i replaced a leaking hose, i got the headgasket replaced, a new thermostate and it still overheats, the car also doesnt accelerate at the rate it should, i could have my foot flooring the gas pedal but it will take forever to eve reach 60 mph.
