2001 Honda Civic with 225,000 miles. A few months ago, while having it in for an oil change, I was told by the service advisor that it needed a new oil pan as about half of the the threads had been stripped. They quoted me roughly $600. Why so high? What factors into this cost? Pricey parts/long labor? Or is it just the dealer being a little money-hungry?
