I want to buy my first car but I have a limited budget?

I got my license about 8 months ago and have been begging my parents for a car ever since. My parents have a strong belief that teenagers should be responsible for buying their own first car and that handing a car to a teenager is an accident waiting to happen. Therefore, I have to use all my money if I ever want to buy a used car in the near future. Is there anyplace where cars are cheaper? I've tried looking on websites such as eBay and Craigslist but I am concerned about the reliability of the cars sold. I'm happy with any type of car but I prefer reliable and safe cars such as Hondas, Toyotas and Subarus. Any suggestions for a cheap and reliable source to buy used cars?

They say my car is totalled! What should I do?

So, my 07 Honda Accord was rear-ended last week. The rear bumper is destroyed, the trunklid is slightly dented and bent. The spare tire well is crushed upward. As far as I can tell, the fenders are unscathed. The frame seems okay and there are no mechanical damages. Apple Honda is quoting the repairs as over $7100.00 and State Farm is telling me that they want to total the car! They will give me $6400 for it and take it, or they will give me $4850 and I can keep it! I want to keep my car, and I think the repair costs were inflated big-time. I'm getting it looket at by another body shop on monday, but if I keep it, I will have to get a salvage certificate and have an enhanced inspection done once it's repaired. What do you think? Any advice is appreciated!

Motorcycle runs horrible?

Hi! I have a 84' Honda vf700s. I put it away for winter 2 months ago, but Christmas down here in boston it was 67 degrees! I had to take it out. Its always run good, but that day it died. Before it died its ran horrible, it wouldnt accelerate past 5K, and felt like it was starving for fuel, so i thought. I brought it home and started digging into the carbs. I got half way into my project when i decided to take my 3 month old plugs out, and they were horrible. I replaced them today and the bike starts but runs horrible, and only with the choke on, not only that but now i have a coolant leak! ( completly unrelated just a bad day for the v-four ). Im left to only go back and take out those carbs, but before that i think i may drain out the gas and put some new feul in there just in case. Anyone wana try and life a broken soul with some tips of things i can try?

Which is a good car for first time buyer? UK?

Hi All,

Please help me. I am totally confused.

I have recently passed my Manual Driving test in United Kingdom and i want to buy a car straight away so i don’t loose grip of driving.

The day I passed my test I started looking for cars. Someone suggested and i saw Toyota Auris (2011 model), i took test drive but i was not very much impressed.

On the way back i visited mazda showroom and I took test drive of Vauxhall Astra 2014 model 1.6 Petrol and i was So impressed with that vehicle performance. But someone said they are not reliable cars as the mileage is also not good.

I again started searching for other cars then i searched Hyundai i30 1.6 diesel 2014 model and took test drive which went ok.

I can go and take test drive of Honda Civic 1.4 petrol 2012 model also but i am bit concerned what to go for as whosoever i ask i get different reviews.

I need help, please suggest me something. I want to buy a good car so i can keep it for a while.

Why isn't my rear window defrosting?

I don't know if I'm doing it right, but I press the rear defroster button and put the fan on max but my rear window doesn't defrost. Or maybe it's supposed to take a long time?

Do I need to press anything else to get the rear window to defrost? It's a new car (Honda Civic 2015) Thanks.

2004 honda accord ex V6 check engine light codes p0157 and po158 where is the oxygen sensor in my car?
P0157 says low circuit bank 2 sensor 2 while p0158 high voltage bank 2 sensor? Yes both are bank 2 sensor 2.
My engine runs 123 cylinders
456 cylinders
Front
PmOne oxygen sensor is in front of cylinder 5 and the other is in behind cylinder 2 my car has 4 apparently. Bank 2 refers to the opposite of where cylinder 1 is at regardless of cylinder 2, correct? If so I found one 02 sensor so where is the other sensors or if one has a diagram has them even better there also 2 o2 sensors under my car on the exhaust pipes, dual exhaust? Is bank 1 sensor 1 behind cylinder 2? And bank 2 sensor 1 right in front of cylinder 5? Where are the last 2? And what's the phrase: after the Catalyct converter? Or before?

2015 Mazda3 vs Honda Civic EX?

Test drove both earlier today and I love both, what do you guys think? They're pretty similar price and performance wise.

Do I need to go back to the Honda dealer?

My 2012 Honda Jazz/Fit had a noisy manual transmission and was difficult to select the lower gears. Honda replaced under warranty everything inside the gearbox (it took 4 weeks to get the parts from Japan). It is starting to make a sound like a bus again and is hard to select 2nd and 3rd again. This time the dealer said they all make this sort of noise (but wouldn't show me one of their cars making this noise!).
So my question really is, 'How do I make them fix it again?'. It's still under warranty.

Btw: I have always driven manual cars and never had a problem. It's definitely not me.
