1996 Honda Civic shaking rumbling motor?

I had a problem with my civic just a few days ago. A radiator hose had blown due to pressure build up so we replace the thermostat and everything worked okay again. Yesterday I noticed the engine rumbling for a second but went away. I drove to work today and was okay until i stopped at a gas station and cut the car off. When i cranked it up it was began to shake and rumble excessively. It accelerates extremely slow and shakes until i keep it at a constant speed. I checked the oil and it is pkay but does need a change. Transmission oil is still good. Radiator is full. Nothing is over heating. No signs of a blown head gasket. It shakes similiar to my old Accord when the fuel injectors went bad but dosent give off the same smell. What could this be? Im going to see a mechanic during my lunch
