IPod not working properly in 2010 honda civic?

Yesterday my boyfriend used my car and my iPod is connected to the aux cord. I had the iPod on shuffle and he changed it to one specific band that I have only 5 songs for. When I tried to use shuffle this morning it would only shuffle five songs and not all the songs I have on my iPod. Is there any way to fix this?
