Drilled and slotted rotors for an every day driver worth it?

I have a 2000 Honda Accord SE. It needs new front rotors pretty badly and I am debating between the cheap Pep Boys generic rotors or the next step up which is a slotted and drilled high carbon rotor.

For an every day conservative driver, is there any point in spending the extra $$
