Am i able to put a passive subwoofer in my car without anything else?

I just picked up a subwoofer from goodwill for $5 (Samsung PSWS610E) and was wondering if there is a way to connect it to my car s sterio system? I have a 2001 Honda Accord if that makes a difference. I think i saw that i would need an external amplifier, is that true or can i just hook it up straight to the car s sterio system? Thanks!
