Motorcycle honda-1988-hurricane-1000F t-connector o-rings leaking?

i was told i can just get some from the hardware store and they will work.
i tried it and it leaked for a day but sealed up after the fuel made them swell.
but after 3 days of no fuel in system they started leaking again… The honda shop wants 28.00 for 4 of them…
any idea's out there. I really want to ride this bike a few times before i have to give it up for good…
