Should i buy a bmw or lexus is250/350?

So im 19 and im a male in college and i do live with my parents i have a 2000 honda accord at the moment but since i have good job where i make about 300-350 a week and my parents said they will pay for my car around 15,000 so i really want either a bmw 3 series or a lexus is 250/350 all are gunna be used of course model years around 2007-2009 around there, and i was wondering which option should i go with because i really do want a bmw and i did find some that seem like they are well maintaned and the car fax and stufff, but idk if i should get the bmw because i dont wanna see the car in the shop every week and i was wondering how much maintance and insurance would be if i have it on my dads compareb to the lexus is, because if the beamer doesnt work for me than i would get the lexus is 250 or the 350. What do you guys think?
