My daughter is looking to buy a 2016 or 2017 Honda crf 230 enduro motorcycle. She was told she has to buy at least a crf 250 or higher to make have it street legal. She wants it mainly for off road use, but would like to it street legal and registered so she could legally drive it on the street when needed. The dealer told her that she would have to buy the crf 250 or larger to have it street legal. Is that correct?

Honda Accord 2008 sedan LX 2.4L 199k miles automatic transmission. I was accelerating pretty fast and I was reaching 4000 rpm when my car made a huge sound and shaked, I thought I hit something, then my engine made a huge sound when I put it in park so I turned off the car. I turned it back on, it started, when I put it in drive it made a loud sound for half a second, again I pressed the gas and it reved but didnt move, but the speedometer was going to 40-50mph but the car wasn't moving. I put it in park and it makes a huge loud continuous sound, so I turned off the car. I put it in neutral to roll it. Then I put it in park and the car still rolls! I had it towed to a transmission shop but I want to know what it could be now! I'm in highschool currently a senior and I can't concentrate right now because I need to know what is wrong with my car! Please help!

Honda Civic head resurfacing. Valves are too high?

Question, i took the head off my 2002 civic lx and i was checking it with a straight edge. When i pass it over the mating surface, it hits the open valves. Is removing the valves a must when milling it? Ive seen other heads with the valves completely closed when being milled.

Motor is a d17a1 btw.

I was driving home at 2 AM last night and a deer ran in front of me on route 21. The deer was kinda limping along and i just left and I feel really bad. It caused the front end on my 03 honda accord to be pushed in. Should I have called the police to get a police report or would they have given me a ticket.

2006 Honda Civic won't start, battery fully charged?

Hello,

I have a 2006 Honda Civic LX 1.8L Engine

Within the last month the car has gotten a new serpentine belt, new radiator, and new ac compressor

I got a new battery in July of 2016.

The morning after the first night it snowed this winter my car wouldn't start, I turned the key on and off 3 times and on the 4th the car started and ran fine. (I assumed the battery was just cold).
The next night I tried to start the car and nothing. The lights and radio turn on but the engine won't turn over, it doesn't even click. It just makes a humming noise like you can hear the battery running.

Even though I know the battery isn't dead, because of the lights, I had a neighbor jump the car, no luck.
Then I pulled the battery out and walked to autozone where they tested the battery, they said it was completely full and worked good.

I'm assuming there is a problem with the starter, but how do I know if it is the actual starter or the solenoid/ some minor problem with the starter that doesn't cost $500 to fix?

Any info on what the issue could be is appreciated!

How do I install a HID Kit with a Canbus Ballast?

I have a 2014 honda accord. The bulbs come with a ballasts that has an attached Canbus system connected with two output cables. One looks like I connect it to the Car bulb harness, but the other is a O Ring. Do I ground this cable then connect the other end to the bulb harness? Which in turn is connected directly to the Ballast. The Ballast then has two Mal and female connectors for the HID bulb. Is this correct? And the extra pice of cable with the bulb is not needed.

But if I do need the extra piece of cable. I connect it between the car harness and the Canbus.correct?

Newbie dirt bike rider. NEED OPINIONS?!

So i recently (2 months ago) started to ride my friends 2 stroke honda cr80. This was the first bike I had ever ridden with a clutch. I have gotten used to using a clutch and shifting etc, and I generally feel very comfortable on this bike. Now here's the problem, I am way to big for this bike. I am 5'9" and weigh 180lbs. I am buying this a bike for myself sometime this summer and I was considering buying a 4 stroke 250 (a trail oriented bike) do you think this is a good or bad idea considering my experience. Oh also i should add that i would be learning how to ride this bike in a big empty grass field. Feel free to ask any other questions you have. Anyway thanks for your help.

The fans won t work unless i have them wired direct already change the thermostat and even the fans switch and nothing i know they work because i turn on the ac and they engage normally also even keeping fans on direct all the time when car is running when i drive for about 30 minutes on freeway speeds and then stop at the lights or in traffic still starts to over heat almost to the red what else could it be

Looking to buy a motorcycle and need advise?!

Hello all,
I am a 21 year old male (6'2", 190lbs for reference) looking to buy my first motorcycle in the near future. I do not have any experience, but will be taking a course at a local community college this summer.

I am looking to get a bike that I will not grow out of and have been set on a Yamaha FZ-07 based on the price point, performance and I love the way it looks. I have heard differing opinions in this as a first bike as some say it is too powerful while some say the linear power range is good for a beginner. I have also been looking at the Honda CB500X w/ ABS option as this is another bike that gets recommended for beginners.

I do not like the look of nikes like the Ninja and also do not want something similar to Harley; I like the naked look of these bikes. Another style I really like is the Ducati 1000 (Obviously this is out of my skill range & price range)

My upper limit is ~$7K. Would the FZ-07 or the CB500X be a good choice for a absolute beginner or is there another bike I should look into?

In addition, is it better to buy the bike in full or over payments?

Why my Honda Pilot produce a white smoke when I hit the gas?

I have a honda pilot 2004. Same issue started 3 years ago.It only smokes when I hit the gas. The smoke is white. The oil light will come off after 700 mile drive. I have to add 2.5q each time. Took it to honda dealer and the diagnosis was 2 cylindar heads need to be replaced and the head gasket. I do not trust them, because their recommendation was to get a new car. I am driving the car for 3 years now. I add oil twice a month with "stop smoke product" I use 5w-30 instead 5w-20. It works for me and planning to do so until it dies on me. I drove 1400 mile without a problem and did not need to add oil. It looks like when fast driving, the oil burn is way less.

If not should I sell it for $7000 when it had a vAlue, down pay $3000 and use $4000 for the next 1.2 years to make payment on lease a car first? And afterward buy off the leased car after three years of payment? My dream car is Lexus IS current model.

What s wrong with my car?

I just had it checked by two different mechanics recently who said nothing was wrong with my car then it started doing this thing again. Every once in awhile when I turn it on, the tachometer will jump up to around 3 so I turn off my car. When I try to turn it back on, it won t start. Will my car need a new head unit and speakers?

My sister gave me her PPI 600 watt amp. It has 6 channels (not exactly sure what this means). I also received a sub that is a 12" Kicker in a box. I drive a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with a stock touch screen navigation system. I have no idea how wiring a new sound system works. Will I need a new head unit? I don't think I can do that because there is a nav system. Will I need new speakers to accompany this new power? Pretty sure the speakers I have right now are super weak. How much would new speakers cost? I'm so lost. I appreciate any help! Thank you.

What should I do with the motorcycle repair?

Hello, I took my 2002 CBR900rr into a Rick Case Powerhouse of Honda repair shop. I asked them if they could replace the head gasket (because last time I was there, they did a full inspection and discovered a blown head gasket). I assumed it would be a 300 dollar charge with labor.

The sales rep said sure, but he would like for his technician to run compression tests firsts. After all the testing, I get a call and the tech recommended that they take eight hours to inspect the motor because high compression could've (or was - can't remember which one he said) been pushed into the radiator. The procedure would take an 850 dollar deposit and upon inspection I could potentially have to get a new motor in there for 6500 dollars or buy my own and have a 1500 dollaro or so labor fee. They said before replacing the head gasket I should do that because there could potentially be a warped cylinder or something warped idk

I just don't know what to do and it's sad and frustrating because I can't come up with all that money I'm not rich and I'd love to ride again.

What could be the cause of cylinder misfire on a 2002 Honda Accord?

Yesterday the brother of my brother in law looked at my car because he works with cars. He noticed one cylinder was not plug in and then he began rearranging the 4 cylinders as it looked out of place and told me to start my car. It wouldn't turn on and he kept rearranging it until it turned my back on. And then I went and drove some and my car started shaking, which it hadn't done before. The check engine light wasn't on before. I got the codes checked and majority of the codes state a cylinder misfire. My car was working fine before and tomorrow I'm booked for a diagnostic test. But I feel like the problem might be very minor and I don't want to shell out lots of money for a test that they may not do anything

I've been observing some of my neighbors (one of them is a stay at home mom) and the husbands drive ordinary cars like Honda Accord or Honda Pilot. But the wives tend to drive luxury cars like Acura TSX or Acura RDX (some form of luxury car). What is the reason for this? Why do wives get to drive luxury cars while the husband drives ordinary car?

What could be the problem with my car? - 1

I have a 2002 Honda Accord. On April 1st last month, I was going on I-35 and all of a sudden, my car kind of froze for a second and then out of nowhere, jumped like 3 times. Then returned to normal. It did that process like 4 times in that drive alone. After the 4th time, I took the nearest exit and drive very slowly for a minute then returned on interstate with no problem for the remainder of the drive. My car did not turn off at all and was still running, but I couldn't accelerate at all when it had froze. Then it did that a few times the next day on the city streets. Thankfully it hadn't done that since but since then I've felt very pessimistic about my car.

Advice on buying a used car?

First off, I m 18, looking for my first vehicle. I don t have much help in this process so I m looking for whatever advice I can get. I ve had my eye on a used 2012 Honda Civic for awhile. 45,334 miles. It was originally 12,795 but they recently lowered the price to 11,997 because "it s been in inventory for awhile and has fallen through the cracks"… I set a date for today with a salesman to look at the car. I went in test drove it and tried haggling the guy a little. (Thanks to google for teaching me how haha) I let him know I ve been looking at other vehicles and weighing my options. In conclusion I made an offer of 10,500 for an out the door price. They counter offered 10,997 before finances. Asked if they could at least do 10,500 before finances and it was a no. Let him know I would think about it, talk to my dad and I d be back Monday. (In two days) my hopes is that when I don t show up Monday they ll contact me and hopefully make another offer. Is there something I should ve done different or should do?

1974 Honda 750k4 Won t Start?!

I just purchased a 74 honda cb750k4 from a private seller. Rode it home and everything seemed fine. I drained and changed the oil the next morning alongside the filter. The day after that I try and start the bike but it wouldn t start. It started leaking a bit from the oil filter (I tried to tighten but it kept leaking slightly). The engine turns but the bike wouldn t start.

The gas tank seemed to be almost half full? Could it be that there isn t sufficient gas? Or is it an electrical issue? Please help!

Car acts like it's in neutral and won't go for a few seconds of holding thd gas?

It first started yesterday while the AC was on. I thought nothing of it at the time because I figured it was just the AC bogging down the engine like it's been doing for months. Today, however, it did this when my AC was off. So now I know I have a legit issue and I need to know what could cause this. I pull up to a stop sign and everything's fine. But if I come to a stop for a length of time, such as at a red light, something happens and I'm able to let go of the brake and stand still like a standard and I have automatic. When the light turns and I try to take off, no matter how much I press the gas all that happens is the engine revs and I stay still. If I hold the gas the car will eventually move after a few seconds. It has a hard time at first but once I get up to road speeds, everything is fine. It's only when I've stopped for a period of time and then try to go. It happens no matter what gear I'm in except reverse

Side Note: I asked my father and he said to check if the trans fluid is low. So I did and I pull up my dipstick(after pulling and wiping, of course). It's covered in fluid and it reads way over maximum fill. First off, how the hell is that possible? I've been told Honda trannys are only good for 100kmiles and I'm at 143k. I have a feeling the tranny is just going out because it's old but is it even worth it to fix a 97 Honda tranny? That's a hefty bill and I ain't made of money. Any info will be geatly appreciated. I'm lost on this one.

So I'm 16 and my parents are planning to get me my first very own car. Yes It's going to be used and I've been looking and I'm interested in honda. My family has always been a honda or toyota family and honda is the most affordable. Which one do you guys like better? I really like them both but I can't decide. What are the pros and cons of both? Is It a good Idea to lower the suspension of my car?

I'm thinking of lowering the suspension of my 2005 Honda Civic Ex Special Edition. Only reason why, is because I really dislike how the car is kinda sitting a bit too high for my liking. Nearly crashed, what should I have done?

Okay so I was going down a road and this 2012 silver Honda Civic got really close to me and was tailgating me. I didn't say anything to the person in the passenger seat because then they would say, "You can't control what happens behind you, you can only control what happens in front of you." So then we started going to a light and it was turning yellow and we were far from the light. He starts honking at me many times. The light was solid red and I was making a right at the light. All of a sudden he went on the opposite side of the road (solid yellow line) and speeds RIGHT THROUGH THE LIGHT! Everyone was just sitting there watching him and I was really scared. I then made a right because there was no "No Turn On Red" sign. Then the person on the left of me started coming but he/she probably knew how scared I was so she started slowing down as I went right. He/She was far away though. If there was an accident with the Honda Civic, who would be at fault? Me for not getting out of the way or him for speeding and crossing a solid line at a red stop light and going through it or someone else that started going at the green light. I kind of know the answer but I just want to make sure.

I'm currently in 2nd year of medical school in California, my last 2 coming years of medical school involve rotations at hospitals and some campus time. I worked and saved up 72k in the last 6 years and am currently driving a 2012 Honda Civic.

1999 Honda Passport Problems?

So I have a 1999 Honda Passport. I got it from a used car dealer (yeah I'm stupid) and it has a lot of problems with the transmission. I read in the manuel that the car has detected a problem in the transmission, and it's been going into backup mode, where the gears don't shift automatically. The question I'm asking is how to shift the gears while I'm driving. The two gears I would be using would be 2 for speeds between 15 mph and 50 mph, and L for starting from a stop or going on hills. It's probably an obvious question but I'm an 18 year old girl who's never owned a car before, so I just need to know specifically how to switch between those gears while driving. This includes going from 2 to L for a stop and for a hill. It would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Why does my Civic 5spd clunk from reverse?

I have a 2001 Honda Civic 5 speed 1.7L and when I back up and let off the clutch there is a pop/clunk sound from the front end. It seems to only do it after pushing in the clutch and releasing power after reverse. I can't find anything obviously loose, is it the CV, tranny, or something else?

I have a cbr250 and one day i found it laying down (possibly overnight). When i picked it up there was gas on the floor and i noticed theres a tube sticking out that looks disconnected (maybe cut clean). The bike started at first then eventually just cut out and died. Now it won't start.
What's wrong with it?
Is it an easy fix?
If it is the gas line is that easily replaceable?
Last, regardless of what you think it is, can you quote me a price of how much you think it would cost at a mechanic?

Is it ok to not start my motorcycle for 3 months?

I'll be leaving for a summer of work in Alaska. The summer months here are hot and warm - hardly any rain (Oregon). I plan to put my rain cover over my bike and keep it in the driveway while I'm gone.

Is it ok to do this? Do I need to drain the fuel before i start it back up when I come home? Any tips would be great. Thanks.

Why are dirtbikes so expensive?

Specifically used dirtbikes. I've ridden dirtbikes plenty of times, and currently own 3 road bikes(a Honda Shadow, a Yamaha FZ1, and a Honda 300f), but have been considering buying a dirtbike recently and can't see why they're so pricey. I was wanting to just get a smaller trail bike to have some fun in the woods with, but for the prices I've seen on used dirtbikes I could easily pick up a KLR650 or similar dualsport and it'd be street legal too. Obviously I know the dual sport won't be as good on the trails, especially with it being a larger bike than I was planning to get, but if I'm gonna be spending the same amount I'd rather go for the street legal one and get the extra on-road use out of it too. Would it be that much of a negative having a larger dual sport over a smaller off road only bike?
Added (1). Ian - I'm not looking for motocross/track bikes or trying to get 20' of air, just something to zip through some trails in the woods, so softer suspension set up anyways. If that was the case then by no means would I consider the KLR. So far the biggest downside I can see is in maneuverability through the trails with a larger bike, but still can't see why I'd pay the same or more for the smaller bike just for that.

Steam coming from Under Hood (2000 honda accord LX). What is the name of this hose that seems to be cracked?

So I was driving and saw steam/my car was overheating and I parked. Coolant reservoir was empty so I filled it, and it looked like there is a crack in the hose in the photo in the link. Its not a radiator hose but I'm not sure what it is, hopefully it isn't a hard fix. Thanks

I was driving home down a back road and this car that was way behind me suddenly sped up I could hear him coming. Im in a 2000 Honda Civic and he was in a boxy looking mustang I think and he flew up behind me fast. So I sped up to but I couldn't lose him and before I knew it my whole car was vibrating and rumbling from his. So I just pulled over and he aggressively went past. My car cranks but won't start? Help?!

My car has been stalling lately. It's not my battery. Sometimes it would happen when I was still. Then it started happening when I was driving and became a little scary. What always happened was that I would wait a few minutes and it would start up.
Today, it didn't turn on at all and just cranks. What could my problem be? I just changed an air filter in the front.

Honda CRV for my first used car?

im shopping around for my first car, i for sure want a Honda CRV. (I want it 2008 or up) Now on places like Carmax or something, the cheapest version for the 2008 is like 73k miles or up. I told my parents to get a normal, average car. Like a honda civic or a toyota. Something that blends in.

Added (1). I've a Honda Accord 2013. Everytime I try to use the A/C the engine won't start. I've replace the battery and alternator but the issue still unresolved. With the new battery and alternator the issue still persist. If i don't use the A/C the car functions just fine but if I do the car won't start. What should I check?
Added (2). And to be clear if I use the AC it drains the battery completely. This causes the car not to start. Also this is after the car alternator and battery have been replaced brand new.

Why do people worship these celebs?

I just don't understand. Most of them (In today's time at least) are nothing but a bunch of arrogant cocky narcissists. I find it very common in these rappers and athletes. It seems like the celebs that came from nothing, are the most arrogant.

These celebs are constantly bragging about money, clothes, women and drugs. They are always dissing and downing the average Joe like they are somehow "better". I really don't understand why people worship these assholes.

You know, there's nothing wrong with being happy for yourself. However, you don't have to say "Yeah, I'm in a Lamborghini you're in a Honda. You're a broke N-word." That's why I rarely even listen to music like that, or support the vast majority of these self centered celebs.

People can't even call me a "hater", because I come from a pretty well off family. My parents raised me right and taught me to be humble. They taught me that everyone is equal, no matter what. No one is better than anyone.

Am i unlucky or is car tinting that difficult?

Hello. While ago my mother bought camry and had outside tinting shop to do tint for her car. After awhile the rear windshield tint started peeling off causing unsighty bubbles. So, she had the tinting removed. But in the process, they messed up that defrost line thing and defrosting stopping working properly afterward.

Now I bought honda accord 3 wks ago. I paid $600 to dealer(which is 2-3 times more expensive that outside shop) to have it tinted thinking they would do better job. But, after tinting, my car started making annoying rattling noise when driving. I brought the car to service department and it turned out tint on rear windshield was peeling off from bottom and making that noise. They said they have to peel is off and do it all over. But, the tinting tech is not there everyday and I have to wait. They gave me option to just come back when tech comes. But, i decided to leave my car there. So, it has been like 3 wks since I purchased the car and my car is still in the dealer.

Is it common? I thought tinting is commonly done properly and what happened to my mom is exception but it seems it is not. Is tinting that complicated and technique sensitive? Since they have to peel it off, will that most likely mess up defroster on rear windshield? I regret that I decided to put tinting.

Should I sell my car and buy a cheaper one to pay for things?

I got in some trouble and I have to pay court costs that can possibly go up to $1200 and I have about two dollars and no job. (I'm willing to work, I just didn't have a job because I was in school and just got out.) I am trying really hard to get a job right now but I have to pay like $500 in less than three weeks. I also want to live in an apartment starting in August. So I was going to save all summer to put money towards an apartment but now I mucked up and have to pay for a bunch of stuff. I still want to live in an apartment in the same town as my college and I want to work there too, so I wouldn't be going anywhere far so I wouldn't need a super nice car. I could probably sell my car for about $6000 and I thought about buying a car for $3000 so Then I would have $3000 left over and could pay off my court costs and also have extra money AND all the money I made this summer could be saved. I also could find a car that is cheaper on insurance. But is this a bad idea? I'm not a picky person about how nice my car is as long as it runs and doesn't eat up gas. I've looked at cars in my area for sale and there's a few that I would definitely drive and be interested in. My car now though is a Honda Civic great on gas and paid off and reliable. But I can get money from it which I need bad.

I cant figure out this misfire issue on my 2000 acura/honda integra gsr?

So last time it was misfiring bad the misfire will not stop and i changed the spark plug on cylinder 2 even though it was brand new which was weird but after i changed it ran fine for a week, now recently i went to get a car wash and they did undercarriage and now it wants to start to missfire again. When the engine is cold it missfires but then it goes away but it has hesitation under heavy load. I am guessing that water gets into the cylinder i dont know where i am not losing cooland. I bought a new aftermarket distributer and bought ngk cables and oem fuel filter and air filter the only thing i have not done is change the oil. What do you guys suggest i should do.In addition i have no check engine lights and i am running obd2 to obd1 jumper harness so i have an obd1 ecu on a ob2 car.

1996 Honda CIvic coolant in motor? Serious problems?

My 1996 Honda Civic Ex (170,000 miles) has is leaking an excessive amount of coolant in to the motor. I got my head gasket changed about 6 or so months ago because of the same issues, except before oil and combustion gas going in to the coolant system. After the headgasket swap a small amount of coolant leaked under the car but never in to the motor till recently, and it only leaking more and more. I noticed the coolant mostly leaks when the car is turned off or sits off for a while. It dose not leak one bit when driving on the high way for excessive miles. Could this be the headgasket again? Cracked or warped head? What else could it be? It has also been having issues starting. It will crank all day but wont start. It starts when cool but not warmed up or sits in the heat. I replaced the spark plugs, cables, and even fuel filter. Nothing has changed.

2002 honda accord flashing check engine light and extremely rough idling?

i added some oil because i was low, that didnt seem to fix the problem. When the car is idling its is a very slow pop-pop-pop-pop but when i give it gas it goes away. Also, if im driving on flat or slighly downhill ground the light stays on, but stops blinking. When i go uphill it begins blinking again. Any ideas?

Car only starts when its cold outside?

2000 Honda Accord.

When the weather is hot( 20 plus Celsius), it won't start.

But when it's 5-10 it will start.

Why?
Added (1). injectors are good, battery is good, starter is good,

Fuel pump might be bad?

It's a Honda, they last forever!
Added (2). I don't understand the 8 years thing.

That would mean about 200,000 km and the car is done. Honda can easily last past that.

My civic is at 500,000km and nothing major has gone wrong with it.

My Accord is fine too, just having an issue starting up now.

What kind of coolant should I use in my 2000 Honda Accord?

I'm not sure what kind of coolant is in the car at the moment. It's green. Everything I've seen online says to use the Prestone 50/50 (yellow). Will it hurt to mix the two?

I have not driven it since late January, and now rear wheels wont move. I try to back up and just lurches. I put it in neutral and nothing happens. It is parked on a some what back words slant. Transmission frozen up?

I got a code reader and I get the code: P0741 - Torque Converter CKT Performance Or Stuck Off. The car drives fine, so I cannot see anything wrong other than the yellow check engine light. Can my 2002 Honda Civic last a 2 hour/ 118 mile road trip?

I have a 2002 Honda Civc Lx, it s been through quite a number of owners; I believe 3-4 including me and my brother. It has about 220,450 miles on it. For the year I ve had the car and the years my brother did, it hasn t ever broken down or anything. Oil changes and maintainence has been kept up fairly well and overall, the car is pretty reliable. The only thing is that I was told that the car might overheat during the trip. I plan on avoiding this by driving early in the morning/ late at night. With all that said, would my car be able to make the 2 hour/ 118 mile trip?
(I live in Arizona and I m going from Tucson to Phoneix if that serves any relevance.)

What do i do.My car overheated and now it seems fine…

I have a 98 honda civic with 120k miles on it and was driving it on the freeway when i noticed the temp gauge all the way up. I drove it an additional 5 miles to my work and turned it off. Could not see where it is leaking from. The next day i filled the radiater with water and drove it to work ( 9miles one way) and it did not overheat. I have been driving it with water in the radiater filling it before i drive for 2 days and it has been fine. I checked the radiater itself, hoses etc. And do not see any leaks. My check engine light went on at the time of the overheating and is still on. My question is how do i diagnose the problem myself without paying labor fees to a mechanic. Just need to find out where the leak is. Thank you very much

Are American cars better than foreign cars?

I need to know why do american cars most of the time only last til about 140,000 miles or so? Why do foreign cars go for 230k easy? I do realize that some American cars go for much longer then 140k, and some foreign cars don't go for long. But of the majority, American cars, do NOT last as long as foreign cars. Why? Is that bad engine parts used on American cars? Do foreign cars have different types of metal for the parts? Such as some of the Honda's have aluminum heads.

96 Civic EX with B18B1 swapped engine ECU error?

Just bought a 96 Honda Civic with a swapped B18B1 engine. With no check engine light on, took it to a California smog shop to get it tested, it couldn t be read. Car turns on and drives good, has no check engine light on and can t be tested.

I m not sure what to check for as far as the harness is concerned, which I m assuming is where the problem is.
Any info, tips or links that could help me troubleshoot this problem would be appreciated. Thank you.

Here are some cars Ive found for sale by owners:

$800, 1997 Honda Accord, 130k miles, needs new starter but everything else runs fine. Brand new battery, cold ac.

$750, 1996 Toyota Corolla, 252k miles. Brand new transmission, tires and water pump. Everything in good condition.

$1000, 1999 Acura CL, 154k miles. Runs good.

So far thats all that I can find good for around my price range

How many miles is to many if I'm in the market for a used car?

I am looking to purchase a used 2003-2005 Honda Accord. I see a lot of them in my budget that have 170-200k mileage. If I'm looking to use the car as a daily driver to work and school ever day? Honda replaced my serpentine belt but my car is now taking longer to crank?

Honda recently replaced my serpentine belt (2012 Honda Civic, 185k miles).

I noticed that on cold starts, the car takes longer to crank and then eventually starts. Sounds like it doesn t want to start but then does.

I will take it to Honda but I m just curious what this is likely caused by? Loose belt? Tight belt? Pulley issue?

No noticeable squealing, just the crank time. Instead of the usual 1-3 seconds, now my car takes about 3-5.

Tips for buying a car! Details below?

So I'm checking out cars so I can buy my second car I'm 21 so I think it's time. I saw this 2010 Honda Accord coupe with 92K miles for $9,900 at the dealership but on Craigslist it says $8,800. When we talked he said that would be the lowest he can go to. I didn't tell I saw it online for the price he "dropped" it to. So should I go back and say online it says it's cheaper? He says if he sells it to me for that price that he's only making a $300 profit and that he can show me the papers that he won't make much I didn't ask to see them but I doubt he's only making a $300 profit. What more should I make him drop it to? And if I trade in my 2007 Honda Accord LX 4 door sedan for the coupe. How much should Be the trade in value for my 07 accord?

Dropped motorcycle - engine sputters then stops. Later on starts, but stops again?

I dropped my 2000 Honda Nighthawk CB750 on its right, picked it up in
It was riding fine right after, then about 10 minutes later it sputtered and stopped while riding. Looked like the battery and starter motor were fine, engine just couldn't turn over.

About 10 minutes later it started, and I rode for a couple miles.

A few hours later I rode it again, but it only lasted about 2 miles before stopping again. I waited a few hours after that it started again.

Does anybody have suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Would you recommend the Honda cbr500r for a new rider?

I recently just took the MSF BRC and received my endorsement. I was thinking about getting the kawasaki ninja 300 (like do many people suggested) but I'm afraid after 500 miles of riding I might outgrow the bike and want something more. I'm willing to spend an extra $1,500 on a bigger displacement bike that I won't outgrow as fast. I'm currently looking at the Honda Cbr500r and I've even sat on a few if them. I'm going to test drive one in the near future to see if I like it. Would you recommend a 500cc bike over a 300cc for a beginner with little riding experience?

Fell of a motorcycle, is that a common thing?

Alright. I want to get my drivers licence for motorcycles, and I haven't really ridden anything powerful before. But in my country, I'm required to spend at least 33 hours out on the streets, in traffic followed by my instructor in a car. (Of course, not all hours at once.). The motorbike I have to ride is a Honda CBR500. I've spent 2 hours in a parking lot. Getting used to the clutch, accelerating, doing figure 8's etc. I had no trouble whatsoever. However, today out on the streets, I fell within the first 10 minutes (later on it was ok). I was about to take a turn, I was going really slowly, and before I got to the stop line, the light changed to red, I panic braked and fell of the bike. Luckily I have some odd reflexes and I jumped off of it and landed on my feet… I think the law in my country is a bit stupid. You are free to drive 49cc bikes without a licence. You can get a licence to drive 125cc or 600cc bikes and of course the no restriction one. However, if you're going for the 600cc one. You MUST practice and pass the test on a bike that's on the upper limits. So even though I have ridden motorcycles for a year or so, mainly Yamaha YBR 125. My skills are pretty much useless. I wasn't worried before, but now I'm starting to be… Could you guys give me some advice? It'd be really helpful.

How to test a catylictic converter without it being connected to a car?

Last year I bought an 02 Honda Civic LX and this year it needs to be smogged. When I bought the car as is, the owner gave me the Catylictic converter along with the car. The thing is that he told me the cat converter still works, however is there a way to test it before I have a professional install it that way I'm not wasting time and money buying a brand new one and having that installed?

Currently it doesn't have a cat and I know that it is illegal. Who exactly enforces that? If I take it to a certified smog place and have them install the cat converter and they find that my car didn't have one since I bought it, do they have to report that to the DMV? The last thing I want is to pay an outrageous fine for not driving it with a cat converter? I don't know if it varies with state rules or anything, I live in CA.

Honda CB400 Super Four (NC31) 1999 Model What is the Exact Needle Value for carburetors?

I recently bought a used reconditioned, Honda CB400 Super Four (NC31) Year 1999 Motorcycle and now it has a fuel overflow problem. Carburetor needles that have are shorter than it should be(the black head thing on the needle value wont fit compltetly).

Can anyone tell me what is the exact type of needle to use on the carburetors to fix this issue, i tried cb250f ones, and didnt work.

Please help me to overcome this problem.

Jiffy lube put oil in master cylinder?

I took my 08 honda accord to jiffy lube for an oil change and 4 days later my break petal stated going to the floor, I thought it was my break pads so I took it to Firestone they said someone put oil or transmission fluid in my master cylinder over $1900 not including the ABS system next day I took car to Just Breaks they said someone put oil or something other that break fluid in master cylinder over $1500 not including ABS. Call my insurance to get rental car and investigation they find the same thing. Investigator calls manager at Jiffy Lube he said its possible that it could have happened here told me to fill out incident report call the store for the report the GM says it did not happen here cause we don't mess with peoples break fluid I told him I have my last two invoices and they both are from Jiffy Lube and no one else works on my car. Im wondering if I have a chance in getting Jiffy Lube to own up
