I've recently begun converting my chevy 350 to a 383. Only original parts being used are the block, oil pump, radiator, ect. I do want to do some performance mods to make it bad *** but it won't be used as a dragster (except to smoke those annoying Hondas at stop lights). The stock transmission is currently nice and roached so it will need replaced, especially with the added power. I am not looking to get a racing tranny just something reliable, again this will NOT be used for racing. Just everyday commuting, towing, and 4 wheeling. I'm just wondering if the best thing I can do is just have the old one rebuilt, or replaced with something else. I don't want to do any modifications, just have it bolt straight to the 94 350 block.
