I have a 2009 Honda Accord and the plastic case around the key began to crack and break. Now the metal piece of the actual key has gotten loose and so I went onto amazon and ordered a new key. It came with the outer shell and the metal key piece so all I need to do is put the button thing inside of it. There is one problem though: the metal key part of the new key isn't carved to fit the car's ignition or door.
I tried calling a nearby Honda dealer and they said that they would have to order a new key entirely but I don't want to spend money if I don't have to (and I doubt I do)
How can I fix my key?
