I am looking to buy a an old 1980 Honda C70 on Craigslist and the the seller does not have the title. I am not entirely worried about the bike being stolen and will have the VIN checked before purchase. However there is no title and we will be using this form -http://www.dmv.ca.gov/forms/reg/reg227.pdf with a Bill of Sale. Has anyone actually ever done this? I don't wan to purchase the bike, only to find that there is some requirement to obtain the title with this form…
