Motorcycle front end shake?

it rides nice but if you let go of handle bars the front end will start to shake and it gets worse if you let it go.
honda shadow 700 cruiser. The tire is old and has a few cracks.
i changed the fluid in the forks with the right stuff but now it shakes much worse.
what could be causing this…
i want to sell it but not with this problem cuz i am an honest person
